So... I got nominated by B3z4r1u5 to do this one ^^ It's only 10 facts, so it shouldn't take me too long, unlike the 30 facts one (one hour lol) XD
1. I started drawing ever since I could remember, and my first ever drawing was that of a caterpillar with round body segments when I was in kindergarten XD
2. I prefer to draw characters and beasts/animals compared to inorganic stuff like buildings and vehicles and anything man-made. However, I suck at digital landscape paintings even though they're very much organic.
3. My style is mostly anime-ish for humans, and realistic/cartoonish for beasts and animals. My mom always tells me that my monsters look hideous, and I take that as a compliment XD
4. My main motivation for drawing comes from my dad. He's a self-taught artist as well, and although out styles clash, we still appreciate each other's works ^^ Sadly, he doesn't really encourage me to draw anymore, now that I'm grown up and 'needs to put more important things first before drawing' ;-; The agony of growing up.
5. I'm a 100% self-taught artist, and I'm still learning lots ^^
6. Drawing depends on my mood. I will draw when I want to, and I will draw what I want to, and usually, the drawing style always shifts. Messy sketches = Frustration ; Neat sketches = I feel the need for some order in my life; Digital paintings = I need to relax and unwind and I don't give a damn about my mountain of work now; Doodles = Just chilling out with random squiggles XD
7. I like to use 2B pencils and nothing more when I'm drawing on paper. Colouring is somewhat bothersome for me... ^^"" On canvas, I prefer acrylic, and well, digital is just digital.
8. My dream is to one day see my manga completed and published XD And possibly draw up more mangas as well XD
9. I have difficultly in drawing real-life human portraits :/ They seem to become anime-fied whenever I draw them. Also, I have trouble in drawing fingers and toes.
10. My principle, when it comes to drawing, is 'Never give up and never give in. You will discover new things that you thought you couldn't draw, but actually, you can. Drawing is a never ending learning process, with more practice, comes more expertise.' So, keep drawing and be awesome XD
