3 years later

Aira sat on the park's bench, looking at the children who were playing joyfully. She smiled, wishing she was a child again, with no care in the world.

For her, being an adult was a dull place...ever since Luke left. She didn't expect her life to be the exact same again now that he's gone.

Her world was drained in color. She never found someone with the same look in their eyes.

She sighed and looked around the park once again,seeing a very tall man. Her attention was caught once there were two children running around and laughing with him.

Luke.

She couldn't move, thought she fidgeted a few times her bum was stuck on the bench.

Luke bended his knees and carried the two kids, to her direction. She let out a loud yelp as she saw Luke looking at her.

Her insides were twisting in knots, in the unbearable pain and pleasure too see him again.

She avoided eye contact,and tried to stand up. She remained sitting on the bench.

Her mind was swirling around in circles,as he went close and closer to her.

"Hey! Aira!" He calls. Well no choice anymore.

She looked at him and silently waved at Luke. He looked better when they were together.

His eyes brought out a lively color, his smile was bigger and certainly his eyes weren't filled with tears.

"Aira, long time no see." He says casually,as if nothing happened between the two.

She let out a silent hello, while Luke introduced his two children.

A girl with brunette hair smiled at Aira and gave her a sticker. "Hello! I'm Amanda, you look pretty!" She says doing a cursty.

The next was the boy with the dirty blonde hair. He smiled, with a smile much like Luke's. "I'm Jonathan...you look really pretty." He silently says,giving me a little rose.

"Their lovely children, Luke." Aira said,but couldn't ignore the shakiness in their voice.

"I know," he laughs.

Jonathan then tugs at Luke's sleeves making him look down at the smaller boy.

"Is she our new mommy?" Jonathan innocently says.

If only you knew kid, Aira thought.

Aira then had a question that she needed to ask. "Luke where is their mother? Who is she?" I ask, resting my back on the bench.

Luke's eyes suddenly became dull and looked down. "She passed away a few months ago. I didn't know it was this hard to be a single parent." He shrugs.

Aira uncomfortably shifted "My condolences Luke. I'm sorry for your loss." She mutters.

"Its fine, were fine." He hugs the two children.

"You? What about you?" He asks.

She looks at the opposite direction and let out a little laugh, almost not noticeable.

"Still in love..." She silently says.

"Same." He says hugging both of his children tighter.

"With who?" She asks.

"With this two," he says gently placing a kiss on both Amanda and Jonathan.

Aira smiles a bit. It was noticeable how Luke loved his children very much, and it made her really happy.

I guess Divorce sometimes leads to good things, she thought.

It was good to smile again, after the constant crying, fighting and hurting. Aira was now Happy seeing Luke like this.

"Hey Luke," she sighs and holds her hands tightly together.

Luke hums and faces Aira, the two children now playing at the slide.

"I just wanted to say I'm happy for you, and the kids. Also, their mother I hope she rests in piece." She says, her voice cracking once in a while, due to the winter air.

"Aira, tell me the truth." Luke suddenly demands. "Did you find someone else, you know....you love?" He uncomfortably asks, remembering their old situation.

Aira shuts her eyes close and sways a little.

"Since I saw you today, I change my mind...You looked so happy and I still wasn't over you. You could say I want to find someone now because I wanna be happy like you now." She says, breathing in after her long explanation.

Luke smiles a bit, his mouth twitching a little. She didnt know if the twitching was real or just her imagination.

"I'm happy, we're happy, you're happy." He smiles.

Aira smiles too.

At least, it didn't end with mayhem, but as she thought that she couldn't help but think...What would happen if Luke and her did stay together?

She shakes the thought off. It's time to move on.

She's happy now.

But Luke didn't take Aira back awww anywayzzz
