My body jolted up and my arms twitched; this is the third time the same nightmare haunts me in sleep. I highly doubt it's a nightmare; it feels like a memory. It scares me because I would never torture someone in such a cruel way; let along using spells I've never heard of. You're thinking way too much, Alvina, chill. Maybe it's because this particular nightmare is so absurd that I kept dreaming of it; I mean, it is possible right? I told Severus about it before but he told me not to worry about it. I can never tell if he really means it or not; reading his facial expression is like learning how to speak Troll, impossible. A lot of people, especially my friends are always confused with my relationship with Severus Snape; I know they discuss it behind my back, but I really don't care. At the end of the day, Severus is like my father figure in life and it will never change. I hardly have any memory of my real parents, all I know is they were killed by Volde- I mean, You know who. Severus forbids me to say his name which really annoys me; why pay respect to a heartless wizard? Besides, he's dead now. My thoughts were interrupted with soft knocks on my door. Severus peaked inside my room and said," Alvina, are you ready" Do you have everything?" "Yea, I'm ready." I replied. He raised his eyebrows, "Are you sure? Don't make me mention about your second year, you left everything behind in a rush to get to Hogwarts by driving a flying car." I rolled my eyes. "Yes. Severus, you need to stop worrying about me. I'm fourteen already for Merlin's Sake! And mind you, I had no choice that year, the train didn't wait for me, Harry and Ron! " Severus smiled, which is rare but it's always so heartwarming to see him display a little affection to me once in a while. He nodded, "Just check one last time and come downstairs." Then left my room. I walked towards my luggage and my pet owl, Amelia. She is a graceful owl with light brown feathers with a mixed of milky white. I stoked her softy and whispered," Are you excited to go back to Hogwarts? I sure am, I haven't seen Harry, Ron and Hermione the whole summer and you're my only way to communicate with them." The thought of not seeing my best friends for two months makes me frown. Severus wouldn't let me go to the Quidditch World Cup with the Weasleys because he claimed "it isn't safe". Overprotective parents. Yet coincidently, I read from the Daily Prophet that there was a deatheater attack after the game. I guess Severus is secretly a magical unicorn that can predict the future? I laughed at the thought of him dressing in colorful robe, all smiling and laughing in a high pitch voice. I shook the thought out of my mind. It's about time, I need to catch the Hogwarts express. I looked at the mirror and check my appearance. Sometimes I wish I could look like some girls in my school, pretty and flirtatious; and then there's me straight brown hair, hazel eyes, and pale lips; nothing special. My eyes scan through the room, making sure I didn't leave anything important behind. I grabbed my luggage and Amelia's cage and went downstairs. Severus looked up from the book he's reading and said, "Took you long enough." I rolled my eyes playfully and he smirked. "We don't have much time, hold my hand, we're going to apparate to the King Cross station." He said. I squealed excitedly, I've always wanted to apparate. The idea of taking 2 seconds to get to the kitchen and grab food at midnight is so fascinating. "You know you can't apparate until you passed the apparation test, right?" Severus asked, answering the thought in my head. "Yes, and you know I hate it when you read my mind." I mumbled. He chuckled lightly and said, "Sorry, can't help it. Your thoughts are quite entertaining sometimes." I laughed and asked," So, am I going to hold my luggage while you apparate? How about Amelia?" "I'll take you to King Cross first and I'll come back and get your stuff to Hogwarts." He replied and offer me his hand. I took it and looked at him, "Now what?" "This is going to feel weird but no matter what, don't let go of my hand." As soon as he finished his sentence, I feel myself getting squeeze into the tiniest matter uncomfortably. I shut my eyes; wanting to throw up. The disturbing sensation slowly faded away. I open my eyes in uncertainty, not sure if I'm in King Cross yet. Severus is nowhere to be found. I took in the view in front of me, young wizards and witches saying good bye to their parents. Prefects of each house directing the students to the train. The drowsiness in my head is replaced by bubbles of anticipation. I smiled widely. I am finally returning to Hogwarts.
