I love the smell of food when I come home. You could tell that my mom was home cooking.
"HI HONEY, HOW WAS SCHOOL?" My mom screamed over the sound of chicken frying. My mom wasn't like other moms who were strict, who told me to stay away from boys, or who told me I should have worn a certain top with certain jeans on a certain day. No, my mom was the bees knees.
"Can I go to the beach...with Josh..and the girls..and other guys?" I asked her, ignoring what she asked. I told my mom all about Josh and how I really liked him and all that, I tell my mom basically everything. She just looked at me and did and 'I'M PROUD OF YOU' kinda face and nodded. I gave her a kiss and hug and ran up to my room to start getting ready with the girls.
"I mean I know what I'm gonna wear, but what about you guys? You don't have anything."I said, but then turned around to see that the girls took clothes out of their bags. I wasn't surprised that what they brought you very, very cute. The outfits mostly consisted of bikinis and dresses; the other things where all different. I knew exactly what I would wear. I ran to my dresser and got my grey bikini, then ran to my closet and got out a simple white spaghetti-strapped dress. It was all simple, but cute. I took a quick glance at my phone and saw I got a text from Josh it said 'We're going there earlier,we need a spot for a bonfire, txt back so I know you saw (:' Great a bonfire? That meant s'mores and couples cuddling. The only couple I was sure would be there would be Jake and his girlfriend Helen. Even though Josh didn't say her name I knew she would be there because, Jake never went anywhere without her, anywhere.
"Do you guys wanna borrow jackets? There's gonna be a bonfire."I said looking for my slippers.
"I've got mine."They all said. Yeah ok, I'll probably have to give on of them mine later because they didn't bring theirs, oh well.
"Guuuurl, you look so pretty,"they all said. I stepped back and took a look in the mirror. I did look decent, but not pretty. I never thought that, at all. I just nodded and started looking for a sweater to wear, but then none matched or they were dirty. I couldn't go on a date with my crush like that so I just won't wear one, I'll be fine.
"Soooooo did you hear!? Niall is in town!" Maliya squealed. Oh great, Niall from One Direction. I didn't hate them, I mean they had good music, but I wasn't as crazy as my friends where about them. All they talked about was marrying them and living happily ever after with them. I just thought it was weird, but I did kinda like Niall, he seemed all sweet an innocent and then powerful at the same time, but I would never have a chance with a boy like Niall Horan, from a boyband who is really famous.
".........DON'T YOU THINK SO?" Monica screamed in my ear.
"Uhh...sure?" I said confused. I daydream to much.
"SEE HARRY IS BETTER!"Monica said, but not before Shannon could kick her playfully. I just laughed. I just wanted to go already, where was he. When was he even coming? I decided to text him. OOOOH. I didn't even reply to the last one. 'Oh ok, we are all ready, pick us up when ready ^-^' I sent, then regretting it because I put an awkward face. WHY!? I was so weird.
"Do you think he's gonna ask you out?" Maliya whispered to me.
"What...oh no. He doesn't even like me.." I replied sadly, it was the truth.
"Are you sure? What if he does? You are very pretty."
"Naaah, that would never happen. He's so hot, and I'm not."
"You're fuuuunnny."
"Oh.." I just didn't get why they would lie. The doorbell rang. We just all looked at each other and ran down stairs, I got to the door first. I opened the door panting like a dog. There standing before me was Josh. He looked so cute. He wore a tanktop and swim trunks. Why can't he just be mine already? He just did that half smile that gave me butterflies.
"Wow, you look great ready to go?"He said. I nodded and gestured for the girls to go outside.
"MOM I'M GOING LOVE YOU!!" I yelled and ran out the door with Josh; my crush. I had a feeling, that this summer would be the greatest ever.
