Luke:

I had been talking to MC182 for a few days more before he became quiet.

He didn't seem to talk to me much now, but then again, I hadn't messaged him.

I was never that sort of guy, yknow? I always got messages, I never needed to make conversation or try to be interesting because I knew that whoever I was talking to worshipped the ground I walked on and they'd listen to me either way.

But now I wanted to be interesting to MC182, he had told me he liked reading, so I decided maybe I should take it up too so we would have something in common.

I headed to the local library and walked in. I went to a random section and found a few books that looked quite intellectual, so I picked up a total of four from random places in the library and headed to the main desk.

I looked up and internally groaned seeing the rude boy from a while ago.

"Finally trying to become literate are we?" he mumbled as he took a quick look at the books, scanning them for graffiti.

"Um, I can read." I huffed. "Why do you work in a library, don't you have better things to do with your weekend?"

He rolled his eyes and then his facial expression changed to amusement as he picked up a purple book.

"I can tell you didn't pay much attention to what you picked up." He smirked as he held the book so I could see the cover. It read 'What To Expect From Gay Sex'

My eyes widened as I snatched the book away from him, feeling more embarrassed than I had in years.

"I- I didn't mean to... to get t-that." I gushed quietly.

"Okay well-"

"No I'm serious!" I continued. "I just came in because I was trying to get into reading books... I wasn't looking at what I picked, I don't know anything about books!"

"Ugh give me the book Luke." He sighed as his hands softly took it from my own. He put it in the returns basket and then shoved the rest of my books in too.

"Um I need those." I pointed to them.

"No you don't." He stated. "They're awful. You want books? We gonna go find some books."

"Oh you don't have to do that," I waved him off but he walked round to the front of the desk and grabbed my arm making me feel a spark shoot up my side.

"Come on." He rolled his eyes.

He asked me about what sort of things I liked to read when I was little, I told him I didn't read. He huffed and then I watched his eyes light up seeing a blue book on a shelf. He grinned as he handed it to me. I read the title in confusion.

"The Fault In Our Stars?" I asked.

"Great book, I mean I totally recommend it. It's one of John Green's best works. When it first came out I read it over and over. It's the perfect balance of- Oh I'm rambling sorry." He blushed slightly as he pulled his sleeve over his hand and continued to walk me around.

I couldn't deny the little glint in his eye when he talked about each book was unusual and slightly adorable. But he was still rude to me before so as far as I was concerned he was still an ass.

After giving me around four books to replace the ones which were apparently "Worse than satan's Match.com profile", we went to the desk again.

"Library card?" he asked and I paused, shaking my head. He looked at me sceptically.

"You don't even have a card?" He asked again, making sure he was right. I nodded.

"Wow. Ok, so I'm gonna go ahead and give you one then. Signature on the back please," He told me, giving me the card and a pen. (IDK if they do this anymore, I had to when I was 11 so XD)

I scribbled it down and he nodded, scanning it in. He then proceeded to scan my books and he gave them to me with a small smile.

"There you go." He told me.

"Um... are you going to tell anyone about the..." I asked, referring to the purple book from earlier.

"Even if I did, no one would think less of you." He muttered, his attitude suddenly changing back to how it was when I talked to him for the first time.

"Why are you so rude to me?" I asked.

"Does it feel strange to be treated as a normal person?" He scowled. I frowned slightly and shook my head slightly, leaving the building.

I sighed as I got home, dumping the books down. I didn't even want to read them now that library boy was so rude to me. But I guess he had a point. It was strange for me to talk to someone who didn't seem crazy about me. I wasn't sure if I liked it or not.

I spent a couple of hours trying to read them but no luck.

I unlocked my phone and tapped Kik, opening my conversation with MC182.

SwallowDaGoldfish: Hi, haven't talked in a while :P

MC182: I cant talk right now

SwallowDaGoldfish: Why? Did something happen?

MC182: No, you don't have to worry about it.

SwallowDaGoldfish: I am worried about it. What's going on?

MC182: I don't know if I should tell you or not..

SwallowDaGoldfish: Of course you can tell me, Idek who you are.

MC182: I'm not sure.

SwallowDaGoldfish: Please :/

MC182: Fine,

MC182: I think I want to die.

SwallowDaGoldfish: What? No, you don't want to do that.

MC182: Nobody at school cares about me, they don't even know I exist. All I do is cry.

SwallowDaGoldfish: Does nobody ask you if you're okay?

MC182: This one person, but I was horrible to them. I don't think they'll talk to me again.

SwallowDaGoldfish: Then try to make the effort to talk to them.

MC182: If only it were that easy.

SwallowDaGoldfish: What do you mean?

MC182: Nothing, bye Louis.

SwallowDaGoldfish: No talk to me.

SwallowDaGoldfish: Hello?

SwallowDaGoldfish: Helloooo????

I began to panic as I tapped my fingers against the keypad, but the boy didn't respond at all.

I could barely sleep, my head was full of thoughts about what could have happened to him. I feel like if he was okay he would have dropped me a message telling me so but he never did. I pulled at my hair in frustration as I buried my head in the pillow, trying to drown out the thoughts and relax.
