"What the?" We both turned to the direction of where the arrow came from. Needless to say, it came in from the opened window not far away. Damn, I should have remembered to close it. To make up for my mistake, I quickly took a look through the peephole and thought that we'd better escape through other exits.
The doorway proved to be the most dangerous exit- many poeple were outside our door, face covered with menacing looks that looks that threatened to attack us once they were given the orders.
"We've got you surrounded. Surrender now so no one gets hurt," someone said with a loudspeaker. At the same moment, we heard harsh whispers from the window. " I thought we were going to do this quietly? Why is there an addition of loudspeakers? Could master distrust us so much that he sent another batch to take over our job?"
I met eyes with Sebastian. He'd figured out what was happening then earlier than me. We backed into the toilet, which is the furthest part of the room that we could go, feverishly hoping that the guys outside the door would help us take care of the idiots outside the window soon.
All at once, from the door and the window, came impatient knockings and the knockings stopped aruptly. Then all hell broke lose. The sharp 'crack' of the door breaking over-powered the sound of people coming in through the window. Our beathings increased rapidly and then form what we heard, we deduced that they had already started fighting. Sebastian positioned himself in front of me, ready to take on any threats who'd found us in our hiding place.
He snarled ferociously when a guy- I'm not sure what he is- came towards us with two guys flanking his sides, all three armed with grenades and Desert Eagles attached to their gun holders. "Catch," the leader threw his own Desert Eagle and the bullet belt to Sebastian and continued, "Get the girl out. Your parents are outside in the carriage. King Jordan awaits you and your family in his palace. Go now, we'll keep a lookout for you."
Sebastian and I managed to get out onto the corridor and the leader ushered us out. The ones who were hiding outside the window just now were the idiotic brainless vampires sent by Simon. Sigh, the 'quality' of the vampires are so bad after Simon had taken over. I bet he need so much people that he don't want to wait for them to finish undergoing trainings and just use them straightaway. Useless crap.
Throughout the whole journey to the wolves' territory, Carl and I remained silent while Jocelyn kept fussing over Sebastian. He cast an apologetic smile at me and I winked back. He couldn't look at me for too long; Jocelyn kept asking him questions and her hands were all over him, looknig for injuries and the like. The way he talks, Gods! He is so cute! And hot! Grr...when wil I be alone with him again?
I almost stopped breathing when he flashed a grin at me. Oh my Dog, he is simply too cute for his own good! I wonder how many girls are after him. Jealousy struck me but I tried not to get too upset. How many girlfriends did he have in the past?
Suddenly, the carriage rocked violently and strayed off the direction we were heading. Gazing out the window curiously ( I sat beside the window), I saw lots of vampires attacking our guards. Our guards are outnumbered five to...fifty? Sixty? A hundred? Regardless of the number of enemies, I'm not gonna be a sitting duck. I noted a perfect moment and I grabbed the Desert Eagle and its bullet belts from Sebastian's hands and got out into the fighting ground, leaving behind a shocked Sebastian, Carl, and Jocelyn in the carriage.
