"Hey," Niall whispered fondly as he gently shook his sleeping boyfriend, "wake up. Good morning puppy!"

Liam gave a tired scowl and groaned, "Don't call me that." He rolled over in an attempt to find sleep again, but he could practically feel Niall rolling his eyes as he said, "Get up."

"I made your favorite," Niall added as he opened their curtains. The sunlight poured into the room and Liam sat up in bed, yawning tiredly. There was no way he'd get to sleep in now.

He smiled and turned towards Niall, "Oh, thanks hon."

"Big day today." Niall added with raised eyebrows as he watched Liam get up and trudge tiredly into the bathroom. On their bedside table was their mini calendar. It was May 13th, meaning it was full moon tonight (circled in red marker because unlike Liam, Niall always made track of this stuff so there weren't any surprises).

"Yeah, yeah," Liam sighed, making Niall giggle a little.

"C'mon, wash those dirty paws." Liam sent him another playful scowl and began to wash his face in the sink, looking much like a puppy.

Niall continued to cook and clean around the house as Liam ate silently at the breakfast table. Liam had to eat large meals all day to prepare for tonight, he would really need the energy.

Liam looked up at Niall briefly, earning a smile from his pretty blonde. He gave him a smile in return, and kept on eating.

The day was filled with Niall lounging around and completing some due assignments, while Liam would walk around the house looking very jittery, and eat whatever was in the fridge. He was probably full of energy at the moment, but just like the nutritious meals, he'd need it for tonight.

Later in the evening while Niall was washing dishes, Liam came behind him and hugged him affectionately. Of course Niall leaned into the hug, turning his head so he could press a kiss to Liam's cheek.

"Now?" He asked softly. Liam bit his lip and nodded, his eyes flashing that familiar yellow. Niall had gotten used to it, he wasn't afraid of them anymore.

Niall simply took his hand and began to lead him up the stairs, feeling a little bad for his boyfriend as he saw the way his shoulders sagged.

"Do you need me to carry you, Puppy?" He teased, letting out another giggle when Liam scowled for the umpteenth time that day, "Stop."

Liam found himself being chained to the old heater in their attic, but he didn't mind much. He just watched Niall as he wrapped the chains around and around and then wrapped them around the rods on the heater, snapping on a lock to one of the unattached ends.

It wasn't until the chains felt really itchy against his skin that Liam noticed, "Silver? Seriously?"

"You broke my favorite lamp last time," Niall pointed out, making Liam groan, "One month the lamp, the next month might be me." Niall finally finished wrapping the chains around his boyfriend and sat on his knees in front of him.

"I would never!" Liam protested, but smiled knowing that Niall truly knew that. He knew Niall trusted him, but they had to do this to be safe. If Liam did ever end up hurting Niall, he wouldn't be able to live with himself.

"Do you need a pillow or something? I can put one down for you," Niall offered. Liam smiled even more fondly, "No I'm f-fine," he growled out the last word, gritting his teeth as his eyes flashed yellow again, signaling the change was about to happen.

Niall stood up and pressed a tender kiss to Liam's forehead, hoping to add some comfort, "Well holler if you need anything." He gave his boyfriend a calm smile, waved slightly, and turned walking down the steps from the attic.
