First Period
I wonder what I look like right now. Probably like an old witch deprived of sleep. Whatever. I look around the classroom from my seat located in the far back. Can I aleast have one friend in here? Please, just one. Just when I was starting to lose hope, Nathan strolls in. "Hey, Mark," he says, walking to take a seat next to me."Are u ok? You looked pretty bad this morning."
"Yeah, I'm okay," I sighed, "have you ever wanted somebody so bad, but you know they would never feel the same way?"
"Mark, that's my life every single day. By me being bi, I fall for a lot of guys, guys I know I could never be with. No matter how much I try not. I just fall for them."
"Nate, you can always just look at girls," I retaliated.
"That's the thing that you guys don't understand! I can't just turn it off like a switch. That shit is there and no matter what I do, it will stay there. Girls don't even find me attractive. So whatever. I shall continue my suffering in silence."
Woah. I didn't know Nathan felt that way. I didn't know how to respond. So I just say there. Thinking about his response.
I wonder if it's eating him up from the inside, that constant want.
I continued my chat inside my head while the teacher went over that stupid syllabus thing.
10 minutes before the end of first period, I decided to text my bro.
Me:yoAiden:wassup bro, u good?
Me:hell no. Can u come get me??
Aiden:Mark, you just got there, wat could have possibly happened to make u ready.
Me:Bruh, u just don't know. Please come get me. Please
Aiden:NO. TIME TO BE A BIG BOY AND HANDLE BOOKSHELF ON YOUR OWN!
Me:um...
Aiden:BUSINESS* SORRY, TYPO!
Me:-_- this is not wat Ally would have wanted
Aiden:stop bringing Ally into this, Mark. She is gone...
Me:ok. whatever
He is such an ass. Does he even care about my happiness?? I guess not.
*bell rings*
Finally, six more classes to go. Before I stood to leave, I waited for everyone to clear out of the classroom. I needed air.
After the crowd left, I stood and let out a huge sigh. I must've upset Nathan because he did not stick around. He will never understand my woman troubles. In the hallway, I could see my cry corner. Walking by it was so weird. Holy crap. Where do I go for second period? I stopped to rummaged through my bag for my schedule.
"Hey." I heard a voice say.
"Huh. Oh, hey Exondia," I said, "how was first period?"
"Boring. The teacher talked the whole hour. Like omg. Stop speaking dude. I know your mouth hurts." She complained.
"I feel you. I think I pissed Nathan off." I told her.
"He'll get over it, Mark" she replied, "where do you go next?"
I grabbed my crumpled schedule from the bottom of my bag.
P.E.
"Looks like I gotta go to P.E."
"Have fun! I'm going to physics!" She laughed.
"Lucky."
On my way to the gym, I decided to take a shortcut through the lockeroom. Upon entering, I was assaulted by the smell of sweaty jock straps and armpits. Ew. The room was sort of dim and seemed empty. I then heard a thump.
Tf was that??
I'm not dumb, okay? I am not gonna go be like hello?? get my head chopped off. No. But I am gonna go sneak a peak.
I peered around the corner and seen a huge muscular guy facing the lockers. It looked like he was holding somebody.
I then heard a sob. "Please, let me go."
I know that voice.
I crept closer to the scene, only to notice Ethan, getting bullied again. Why can't people leave him alone? Ok, he's gay. Big deal. He's human just like everyone else!
Well, time to help him, I guess.
"Yo! Leave him alone!" I yelled.
When this guy turned around, I kid you not, he looked like a cow on steroids. Yes, that big.
"Get out of here, loser!" he growled, "I'm finna teach this fag that freaks like him are not needed."
"He's no freak. Look in the mirror, you overgrown bear! You like a damn wolly mammoth!" I hissed.
Did that really just come out of me?
He released Ethan. I could see the gratitude on his face.
"Ok kid. Looks like the both of you will have the pleasure of getting an ass whooping," he snickered.
Ethan shuttered, "Omg, it's the first day of sc-"
The guy suddenly punched Ethan in his gut, knocking the wind out of him. I quickly ran to the beast to deliver a blow, but he stopped me in my tracks.
He lifted me off the ground and threw me into lockers, causing a dongg to echo throughout the room. I looked up dizzy and weak only to see the guy grinning at me.
"I'll see you ladies tomorrow," he said.
He left Ethan and I on the floor. Trying to catch my breath, I managed to get a few words out.
"...Are you okay?"
"I was until you came and fucked it up!"
"I don't understand."
"That was Sean. He's always threatening me, but he never actually hit me. You pushed him, Mark! Really!? A WOLLY MAMMOTH!?!"
"I was only trying to help-"
"I don't need your help! And watch what you say around my brother asshole! I can't believe you! Just because you can't get a girl doesn't mean you have to take out your pity on others."
I was so confused. "Ethan. I'm sorry. You were in trouble and I wanted to help."
"Didn't I just say I don't need your help?! Just get out of here!!"
"Okay."
