A Warlock's mate

When Alec awoke he felt as stiff as a board. When he tried to move it felt as if he was being held down. Groaning he waited for another moment or two when he felt something MOVE across his body.
Tensing up he slowly turned over on to his back, causing whatever was on him to follow his movement. When Alec finally dared to open his eyes they fell upon a tiny dragon that was sleeping right across his stomach.
"What in the angels name..."
He paused when the creature decided to open it's eyes, an emerald green stared back at him. Alec had to admit that the dragon was quite beautiful. Its scales vibrated with color when the light touched it's white skin.
The dragon began to purr as it shifted slowly sitting on its hind legs as it yawned
"You're pretty cute" he muttered
The dragon began to purr some more and arch it's back as he began to the pet. Slowly the dragon released his wings allowing Alec more space to pet him.
"Magnus?"
Alec called out, maybe his boyfriend would have some answers as to why there was a dragon that looked quite content sitting on his stomach.
"Come on little guy, let me up"
Seeming to understand the dragon allowed Alec to stand up, only to wrap it's body around his upper torso and lay it's head on his shoulder. His ear was getting tickled by the dragons breathing, but he left it alone for now.
"So what now?"
Alec looked into the emerald eyes of the dragon that had attached itself to his body. In that next moment his body was tackled to the ground.
"What the heck?!"
Another dragon was on him! A black dragon with bright yellow eyes stared back at him. Attempting to grab his phone was when a third one showed up wrapping itself around his calf. This one was a vibrant red.
Three dragons, three of them decided to show up in his home and practically attach themselves to his body. All of them were purring and looked quite happy to just lay on him.
Alec just sat there with three dragons laying on him. To be honest he couldn't help but stare, they were all quite beautiful. Vibrant in color and graceful in the way they moved. He could easily tell they had great self control. From the way they tackled him, he knew these three could do quite the damage if they wanted.
Sitting there for quite awhile Alec finally heard the click of the front door being opened.
"Alec darling! I've brought breakfast and you won't-"
Magnus's voice stopped and the contents in his hand dropped to the floor as he just stared and stared at the blue eyed boy sitting on his floor with three dragons attached to him.
"Magnus?"
At that moment in time all three dragons decided to detach themselves from Alec and fly happily around the room. One even attached itself to Magnus but he still hadn't moved from his shocked state.
"Maggie?" Alec questioned
Finally the warlock began to blink his eyes and without another word walked out of the apartment, only to walk back in several seconds later.
Magnus's lips began forming words but no sound came out. He just looked like a gapping fish in Alec's opinion. Finally the warlock crouched down and sat on the floor opposite of the Shadowhunter.
The red, white, and black dragon settled themselves between the two.
"Magnus?"
Alec started to get really nervous at his boyfriends behavior.
"Alexander...I need to tell you something"
"Oh...uh okay"
The warlock took a deep breath before speaking:
"Warlocks in a way are like werewolves and vampires. Meaning they to can find their life long mate. But for immortals like myself it is vertically impossible. Because wolf's and vampires can choose the one they want as their mate. But warlocks...warlocks aren't so lucky"
Magnus paused to take another breath
"Warlock's have very specific soulmates, meaning they are already predestined you can say. I gave up a long long time ago. Living for over 400 years does that to you. But...but when a warlock finds their mate."
"Magnus what..."
"Alec please I'm trying to get this out. Every warlock has a true form, and this form comes with extensions of itself. A projection I'd rather say. And well"
"Magnus please you're freaking out"
"Dammit Alexander you're my mate! These...these are my extensions"
Understanding crossed Alec's features, before either could press the issue farther loud banging came against the door.
