Leo had propped up his legs on the desk as we all began listening to Mr. Ford's lecture about the real meaning of biology.

I watched Leo from the corner of my eye. He wasn't doing anything particularly interesting, just sitting there, watching the teacher. But I could still hear giggles from the girls behind him.

I turned my head slightly to the left so I could see him more clearly without straining my eyes.

He had an athletic lean body and  I could see his blonde hair didn't carry an overload of hair gel like most guys at school, but the right side of his hair seemed to be slightly longer then his left and rested just over the side of his forhead. His blue eyes were glistening from the light just reaching his face through the window and I started wondering what he was thinking about.

But, I had to admit, he actually was pretty good looking.

Leo moved his eyes to me and caught me staring. I quickly looked away and focused on the teacher, but I could still see a side smirk reach his lips.

"Do you get any of what he's saying?" Matt chuckled to me quietly.

"Not a word" I chuckled back.

An hour later, we were all dismissed and I left Matt to go to his next class and I went the opposite way.

I began to hear thuds behind me and turned around to see Leo jogging a little bit my way.

"Hey, you know where literature is?" He asked as he stood beside me.

"Um yeah, it's in C block a little bit of a walk from here" I said back to him.

"Which is where?" He asked me.

"Just around to the left past the wooden benches, I've got literature next too " I explained to him while I kept on walking.

"Great, I'll follow you then" Leo grinned and walked closely by me.

"Sure thing" I nodded my head in awkward approval. We stayed in silence for another 10 seconds, not knowing what to say next.

"I never did get your name" Leo said out of nowhere.

"I didn't expect you to get it, since you never asked" I replied back, passing by rushing lost freshmans.

"Ooh, feisty" Leo laughed softly.

"Hmm" I mumbled, not really interested with his comment.

"So what is the name, blondie?" Leo asked for my name again.

"Actually, I'll have you know that my hair is dirty blonde and is leaning more towards the side of a brunette, so blondie will never set in as a new nickname"  I snapped.

My hair actually was closer to a blonde the a brunette, but I just just didn't want the nickname blondie. I didn't really know why I was being slightly distasteful either. Eh, who cares?

"Ok, so not blondie, maybe that can be replaced with a name?" He hinted.

"Annika" I said simply.

"Pretty name" He smiled at me.

"Thanks..." It's not that I didn't like the compliment, I just thought it was slightly weird that a person was wanting to socialize with me. The only friend I have is Matt, that's it. It's kinda depressing if someone would think about it, but it's true.

I led him into literature class where I instantly met eyes with Jessica Harris. Why was she taking literature? The only thing she should be taking is dancing. Exotic dancing.
