Okay, so I've not updated much of anything, and that's because I'm trying to adjust to high school, so yay for that. (You can't hear my sarcasm. Crab cakes. It was there though, just saying.) But I've had quite the awkward first week in high school. If you don't care, then why are you still reading this book? And random thing: I HAVE A FEDORA NOW!!! HIS NAME IS PATRICK. I CANNOT RECREATE WINSTON.
I have just gone through asking out someone, and they said yes, so yeah. I met them on here and they don't live anywhere near me. ;-; And most people I know aren't really supportive of having more friends on the Internet than in real life, so I don't tell people.
And that means not telling my guy friend Haden about my relationship status. Now Haden moved to my school at the end of seventh grade and no one wanted to be his friend. I was the first friend he made, and if you took the time to get to know him, you'd think he was a nice guy, honestly. But most of what he talks about is Minecraft, cars (he hand draws models of them & talks about modifications he could add to them), & Nyan cat. A lot. A FREAKING LOT. Like, ALL HE TALKS ABOUT.
And most people find that annoying, unlike me. He was pretty much a fanboy that fanboyed over cars & creepers alike, while I was pretty much a fangirl that fangirled over bands. A FREAKING LOT. And since we were fanpeople, we hung out quite a lot during eighth grade year. We talked during Pre-AP English class about making small cars to drive around the hallways of high school and 3/4 of Pierce The Veil breaking into the school & scaring the crap outta everyone except for us. We'd be helping them. {PS if you have never seen the music video for King For A Day by Pierce The Veil feat. Kellin Quinn, you may need to reevaluate your life.}
So since we hung out a lot, people always asked us if we were dating and saying that we should. In response, we always said "No offense, but no," very loudly while shaking heads & fists (that was me 100%) at the person who asked. We were always poked fun at by our friends because of the constant downpour of questions and they always messed around by saying that we were in love. And this bothered me more one day in eighth grade than it ever had before.
Haliegh practically forces him to finish his question and he turns red and hides his face. So being the Hufflepuff girl I am, I decide to tell him the truth about my relationship status. And this was news to Haliegh as well, so at first neither believed me. But I convinced the two I was telling the truth and I felt like an awful person for flat out rejecting him so coldly. And soon after we took our trays, Haden disappeared from beside us and I felt worse.
But thankfully during English the next day (yesterday 8/27), he came up to me and said he didn't want things to be awkward between us. And I agreed since he's a good friend of mine. We were back to normal for that day & today. Well, maybe if you were him you'd think it was normal. But during our first pep rally in high school, things get bit awkward for me once again.
My friend Skylar was one of the main people who teased us (
