I have been alone in Zayn's apartment for four hours and I'm so board. I have familiarized myself with the house and managed to make a ham sandwitch with what was left in the fridge; witch wasn't much and it was probably a month out of date.
Gross.
So, I decided to change into some skinny jeans and head out to explore the great city of New York.
I walked out the old, faded and cracked white door and onto the steps of the apartment complex outside. The air was cool with a slight breeze that made a shiver run down my spine. Gah, I love winter. There's just something about it that makes me so happy.
I turned down a street and walked down the sidewalk dodging people as I looked at all the street signs and stores. After about an hour or so of walking, I came to the famous park that everyone knows. I walked around looking at the beautiful scenery when I came across a few young guys sitting around a fountain. They all had a different instrument; one with a bass, two with guitars, and one with a percussion box. They all had tattoos on numerous places on their bodies. They had a good sized crowd around them so I decided I might as well waste a little time until I have to head back to meet Zayn.
"Ok, anyone have a request that they want us to sing?" The boy on the box asked.
"How about Wonderwall by Oasis." A young girl in the crowd asked. I looked over at her and when she caught my stare she smiled at me and gave a little wave. I smiled back and turned to the boys who already began playing.
After about eight more songs, they were done and the crowd began to thin out. I walked forward and stopped a little in front of a boy who was packing up the money in a guitar case. He had a crazy amount of tattoos up his arms and a blue quiff in the front of his blonde hair.
"You guys are really good man." I said as he looked up at me with a smile.
"Thanks. We've been doing this for about a year now. It's a lot of fun. I'm Luke. This is Ashton, Michael, and Calum." He said pointing to the other boys. They all greeted me with a handshake and resumed packing up.

"So, you new around here, Harry?" Luke asked as we were all spread out on a bench and on the fountain.
"Yeah, just got here today actually. How'd you guess?" I asked as he chuckled a bit.
"The accent might have gave it away." Calum said sarcastically.
"Oh. I guess so," I said laughing a little. "I moved here from a little place called Cheshire, England."
"Bet it's a nice little place." Ashton said.
"It used to be." I said and sighed.
After about another hour of talking and getting to know the guys, they decided it was time for them to get going. We traded numbers saying we'd meet up and hang out sometime and we headed our separate ways.
It was dark by now and I was walking close to Zayn's street when I got a text.
I opened my phone to see that it was from Zayn and read it.
Where are you?!
I went out to explore mother. Don't worry, I'm almost home.
I replied and rolled my eyes. He can be so paranoid sometimes. I love the guy but c'mon really?
No reply came so I returned my phone to its cozy spot in my back pocket and walked to where the side walk ended at a red light. The sun was still barely noticeable above the shorter buildings lining the street and sidewalks as the air began to get chillier.
