Avery's POV
It had been days since I had even seen Kian, never mind speak to him. I stared blankly at the wall, lost in thought while Jasmine spoke on the phone.
She then ran out, explaining how he had invited her to Grand Park for a date night.
Later on, Jc arrived, handing Jasmine the cutest little kitten I had ever seen as a gift, before taking her out to the park. Now I sat here alone, wondering what to do with my time. I called up Madison and April who both seemed to have plans, so I eventually gave in and rang the familiar seven digits given to me at the party.
"Hello?" the familiar voice asked.
"Hey, Kian!" I greeted, nervously playing with the kittens soft fur. "Uh, you busy?"
"I'm not actually, why, what's up?"
"I don't know, I just wanted someone to hang with," I admitted, sounding stupid.
"Okay, I mean- I can go there or you can come here?"
"Uh, yeah I'll go there for a bit," I decided, finishing up our plans.
When I got off the phone, I head straight to my room where I dressed up a tad bit more, carefully curling my hair in the mean time. I then brushed my teeth before picking up to orders of Taco Bell slushies and making my way to the 'O2L house'. When I arrived, I was welcomed by Ricky, his roommate, who sat at the doorstep sorting out carefully what looked like a stack of Pokémon.
"Hey, Ricky," I laughed, resting my elbow playfully on his shoulder.
"Hey," he greeted, standing up. "What's up?"
"Just came over to hang out with Kian," I told him, shrugging.
"Did Jc stop by?" Ricky asked.
"Yeah, he got Jasmine a kitten."
"I know, he showed us," Ricky told me, rolling his eyes. "Such a player."
I laughed at this, as I rested my hands in my pockets.
"The door's unlocked, make yourself at home," Ricky offered, motioning toward the door.
"Thanks!"
I walked inside, taking a real look at the house. When it was empty and not cluttered with people and solo cups, it was a genuinely nice place. It was huge, with dark wooden planks and cream walls. When you first walked in, you were welcomed by the stair case, with the kitchen and living room to one side, and a another opening I hadn't yet been in to the next. I stepped into the living room where Connor, his fourth roommate sat, a laptop nestled on his lap.
"Hi," he greeted slowly. Connor had not yet met me, though I knew who he was from some of the videos I saw on YouTube.
"Hi, I'm Avery," I greeted, walking over to shake his hand. "I'm kinda friends with the other three boys."
He nodded, loosening up a bit.
"Do you know where Kian might be?" I asked, scanning the room.
"I think he's in the pool," he told me, focusing still on the screen.
"Cool, thanks, Connor."
I walked out to the pool, seeing Kian immediately in the pool, with his head and hands out, checking his phone.
"Hey, Kian," I greeted, sitting on the pools edge.
"Oh, hey Avery."
I smiled awkwardly as I watched him complete whatever it was he was doing.
"Just planning out next weeks video," he told me, rolling his eyes. "After that we're all going to vidcon."
"What's vidcon?" I asked, worriedly.
"It's a YouTube convention," he told me, hopping out to sit beside me. "We're all going to meet fans and stuff."
"When are you going?" I asked sadly, not wanting the boys to leave. Over the last little bit Jasmine and I had grown quite close with them.
"We're going Thursday, the one after the next," he answered smiling. "Hey, you and Jasmine can come if you'd like."
My heart raced; "Really?"
"Yeah, we can go book you a room in our hotel right now. They only give them out to YouTubers or their guests during vidcon, but it still fills up quick."
I nodded, following him out to where we booked a room with two beds, a bath and a small kitchen.
"Aw," I gasped, realizing a small flaw. "We haven't got any tickets."
"The boys and I get two passes each for two family members usually, but my mom and dad are going to my sisters swim meet- so," he told me winking.
"Kian, you're the best!" I told him, hugging him tightly.
He put a shoulder over my arm, before I told him I was going to get my swim suit on. When I got into the bathroom, I texted Jasmine;
Me: Get ready, Jazz! We're going London next next Thursday! ;)
I closed my phone as I head out into the humid weather and climbed into the pool. It was ice cold, making my legs and stomach feel tingly. I swam over to a pool chair, in which I sat on, basking in the warm air. Before I could playfully sigh, Kian grabbed my arm, yanking me back into the water.
"Kian!" I managed, hardly, because it was so cold.
"Tad cold, isn't it?"
I nodded dramatically, laughing at how I reacted.
He hugged around my sides, giving me a daring look.
"Warmer?"
I laughed a bit, nodding.
We then sat there for a bit, hugging in the cold water until I decided I had enough.
"Wow," I said, reaching for a towel immediately. "That was- quite the show."
He laughed as he reached for another towel behind me. He smiled, leaning in slowly.
Oh my god, is he kissing me?
I looked at him, debating quickly on whether to kiss him too, until I finally gave in. Our kiss lasted about four seconds, until we pulled away slowly, laughing nervously.
"Wow, okay," I told him, awkwardly playing with the frills of my swim suit bottoms.
"Sorry," he said, turning red.
"No it's okay," I promised, kissing his cheek.
We head on inside, making our way to Kian's room where we sat on the bed.
"I have to go," I told him, noticing the time.
"Okay, thanks for coming," he thanked me, smiling sheepishly.
"Thanks for giving us the passes, I can't wait to see you preform," I promised, still excited.
"Can we go somewhere tomorrow?" he pleaded.
"I have school," I told him, disappointingly.
"Okay..."
"See you," I said again, exiting his room.
Wow. I just kissed Kian Lawley.
