"HOW COULD YOU?" I screamed, directing it towards Reece's mum.
"R-River, I'm so s-sorry," she broke down into tears, instantly a wave of guilt took over me, and I sat down next to her. "I h-honestly d-didn't mean t-to, I couldn't leave her o-out in the c-cold," she stammered again, still in tears. They arrived home yesterday, with a little surprise of their own, Kylie.
"It's okay," I rubbed her shoulder soothingly, "I'll just ignore her for the night, and before I know it, she'll be gone," I said, trying to sound as positive as I could.
"Are you sure," Leah said, looking up at me through teary eyes.
"I'm sure." I spoke gently, gave her shoulder one last squeeze, followed with a warm smile, then left to go outside.
"Reece?" I called, within seconds he was next to me, causing me to jump.
"Did I scare you?" He laughed, sounding very concerned that I got scared. Note my sarcasm.
"Yeah kinda." I just about got out, still jumpy from the fright.
"Hey sunshine," Kylie said, wrapping her arms around Reece for a hug. I don't know why, but this infuriated me.
"Sorry Kylie," Reece said, peeling her arms from around him, then walking over next to me and putting an arm around my shoulder, "but I'm with River."
"WHAT?! She shouted so loud I would say New York could hear.
"Yeah, what?" I turned to him, but he winked at me, then placed a kiss on my cheek. I couldn't help but go crimson, as if blushing wasn't bad enough, he saw it and started smirking. Stupid smirk.
"So are ye actually together, or is this just fake?" Man, she's quick. I couldn't play along to this, most definitely not.
"It's f-,"
"Real, they really are together," Junior said, standing next to my other side. Now I got back up if anyone ever wants to try and kick my ass. This is why you don't get dates River.
"How would you know?" She glared at Junior, waiting for an answer.
"He is my brother, I think I would know," he shrugged so casually, they must be used to lying, because I can't lie at all.
"Let me just ask sunshine, are you guys together?" I stopped for a few seconds to think about what to do, then I made up my mind.
"Why wouldn't we be?" I wrapped my arms around Reece's waist, he froze for a split second, but then returned the gesture. He placed a kiss on my head, then got back to hugging me.
"I don't believe it," she shrugged. Why wouldn't she believe it?
"Why?"
"Because, you're not Reece's type," she shrugged once again, "he usually goes for blonde, fit, and sexy girls, as for you, well you're just, blonde, skinny and not sexy," for a second, I felt a pang of hurt in my stomach, but it soon went when I felt Reece tense next to me.
"And who are you, to say who my type is?" He said, his jaw clenching, then unclenching.
"Look Kylie," I started, not sure where I was going with this, "Reece wasn't my type either, but then I got to know him, and soon I couldn't stop the feelings I had for him. It's not about 'types', it's about your feelings for that person." I didn't know I could say something so beautiful.
"O-o-oh," she said not long before strutting away.
"You guys so like each other," his brother laughed.
