Waking up the next morning was a bit on the awkward, and smiley side. I felt awkward because I had to go down and face Reece, but thinking of that kiss with Nate just brought a massive smile on my face. I looked over and checked the time, it was only 8.30, and it was finally the weekend so I had no lectures today, thank god. I sluggishly forced myself out of bed and into a tracksuit, I was absolutely wrecked.
"Would you like to come to a party with me tonight, everyone's going to be there, you can invite your new boyfriend," Reece smiled, which kind of creeped me out.
"He's not my boyfriend Reece," I sighed, then continued, "Yeah sure I'd love to go," I smiled wide at the thought of going to a party, but wider at the thought of going with Reece.
"River?" Reece shouted, just as I was walking back into my room.
"Yeah?"
"I'm going out for breakfast, and was just am, you know," he nervously scratched the back of his neck, which I honestly found adorable.
"Yeah I'll come with you, can you just hold on twenty mins, so I can fix this issue," I pointed to my face in a circular motion, matching it's shape.
"Why? I think that issue is beautiful." As soon as he realised what he said his eyes opened wide and his face turned pink, matching the colour of mine. We both laughed it off nervously, trying to break the awkwardness as best as possible.
"I'll be 20 minutes," I said, then rushed into my room. CRAP! Why is Reece doing this again, making me like him. No River shut up, you like Nate, remember that kiss? No but River, Reece was there from the start, remember how he was there when no one else was, and everytime you kiss him you feel not just a bonfire, but the whole universe. Ugh just do your make up River and shup up.
"I'm ready," I came out a little later then 20 mins, over my rambling to myself.
"Okay, where would you like to eat for breakfeast?" He asked, staring into my eyes, as if I was the most precious thing to him.
"What about that new place in town, it's meant to be lovely, and we both haven't tried it yet," I smiled.
"Perfect," he smiled, grabbing the apartment key, and his car keys.

"So how was your date last night?" Reece asked, not taking his eyes from his freshly made Irish breakfast.
"Am good, we kissed," I nervously bit my lip, staring at my freshly made pancakes, if I'm honest, I'd say people half way across the world could hear Reece's heart break, but he kept himself composed.
"Oh, cool, I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I'm glad we can be good friends after all the crap we've been through." Friends? How can I be just friends with him? Ugh River, think of something.
"Yeah me to." Really? That's the best you can come up with? Yeah me too? Oh River you're really messing this up.
We smiled and laughed for the rest of our breakfast, and it was beginning to feel like the older times, where we talked serious, then laughed about everything, from the bottle of ketchup, to the cracks on the wall, we just laughed like crazy not caring about any of it.
I was super excited about the party tonight? Is it kind of bad I didn't invite Nate? Is it kind of bad I just wanted this to be Reece and I? Ugh River, don't play them, that's all I'm going to say fo you.
*~*~*~*
"River? Why do you always look so beautiful everytime we go out, you're so amazing and you don't even know it." Reece smiled, while in the taxi. Of course we had to get a taxi, with the way the two of us drink, why wouldn't we?
