After Lia ate all her candy, she closed the locket on her necklace and held it to her chest.

David came in and saw Lia looking at herself in the mirror. "Oh, you found it. Your birthday isn't till next week, that's when he wanted to give it to you." Lia nodded and looked back into the mirror. "Why did he wait till I was 15?" Lia asked. "Because that's how old your mom was when when your dad first saw her. She was wearing it when he saw her."

Lia blinked back her tears. "Come on, we have work to do."

David led her to the elevator and pushed the button to the second floor. "What's the training room like, and where is it?" Lia asked. "You've never been there before?" David asked as the doors opened. Lia shook her head "no." David smiled and walked through the training room door.

Lia looked around and saw a teenage boy punching a bag. He had very dark brown hair and had a little bit of muscle. He looked about 5 ft. 10. He had tennis shoes and gloves for punching. He had a short sleeved navy blue shirt with tan baggy shorts.

The boy stopped punching and wiped his sweaty forehead, moving his eye length hair out of his face and turned to Lia and David. "Hey, are you Lia?" The boy asked while taking his sweaty gloves off. "Yep this is Lia, Lia this is Jack, the one who will be training you." Lia looked at David with her mouth half open and her eye brows raised. Lia made a tiny smile, really? Lia thought to herself. Lia could feel her heart pumping.

Jack took a big drink from his water bottle. Lia tried to calm down and look serious. Jack walked over and put his hand on her back. "Go over there, I have to talk to David a minute." Lia walked to the corner and looked back at him. She took a sigh and slapped herself, focus! She told herself and looked away.

"Do you know what you're doing?" David said in a whisper. "Trust me, I got it all figured out." Jack said with a grin. He turned and looked at Lia. "You ready!" Jack said with a smile. "Um... yes!" Lia said trying to keep her chin up.
