"WHAT?!" I was already enraged. My mother jumped from the shock of my sudden yell.
"Honey! Be quiet! We are in public" My mother hissed while grabbing my hand and pulling me down into the cafe booth. "He is a very kind man. Not to mention he is very wealthy. He will take care of you. He will give you a good life." She took another sip of her tea before putting it down and clearing her throat, "The ceremony will be tomorrow afternoon. I will come to get you in the morning to get ready. You better not be out of the house or so help me-"
"Mom, I can't believe you. Why would you set me up?" I slammed my fist down on the table, "I am perfectly capable of getting a husband on my own. I'm only 20. You haven't even given me time to try and get one."
"Age doesn't matter. This is a business deal. It is very important to your father and his company."
I sighed and cupped my face with my hands. I was nearly shaking with anger. Without another word I got up from the booth and slapped money for the drinks onto the table. "I'll be leaving first" I hissed back at my mother. I ran out of the shop and stomped down the busy Seoul streets.
That cold-hearted woman. I didn't see her all through high school since she decided to throw me in boarding school in America. Then the first thing she says to me after years of not seeing my face is, "We are marrying you off."
"AISH!" I screamed and stomped my feet on the concrete, "Crazy bitch!" I underestimated the force of my stomp. as my feet hit the ground my right heel snapped off causing me to loose my balance and fall onto my knees. I winced in pain.
"Are you alright?" I looked up to see a kind faced man. He was dressed head to toe is business clothes and his hair was shaped perfectly. He looked like he was coming straight from a high fashion photo shoot. He was accompanied by a man who was similarly dressed. The man accompanying him was unnaturally handsome as well.
My face turned a bright shade of red. "Uh...Uh yes..." The man extended his hand to help me up. I couldn't help but notice the groups of people that were forming around us. They stood at a distance, taking pictures and whispering to each other. Most of them were girls acting like they had just met an idol.
"Th...Thank you" I smiled at him shyly. He nodded and shot me a handsome smile. His expressions made me feel weak.
"Excuse me sir" The man behind him smiled an equally handsome smile, "We are going to be late for our meeting"
"Oh, Thank you Secretary Kim. I almost forgot!" The man turned back to me with a kind smile. "Please give this beautiful young lady some money for a cab. She seems to have broken her shoe."
Secretary Kim nodded to the man and called a cab immediately. He then led me to get into the cab with gentle hands.
"Please take this young lady where ever she requests. You can charge it to our account" He handed the driver a small card before closing the door and giving me one last smile before sending me on my way. I watched out the back window as we drove away.

"Hwasa!" I called when I entered my apartment. Hwasa was always in my apartment. Not because we were roommates and not because she worked in my family's company. It was because it was her favorite place to be. She had spent much of her time at my apartment helping me before we became best friends.
"I heard!" She called from the kitchen, "Your brother called me to tell me the news! I can't believe her! Your mother is really crazy!"
"I know right! But that isn't what I was going to tell you." I grabbed her hands from across the kitchen counter and flashed her a big smile. "I met the most handsome men ever today! You see," I lifted my foot to show the broken shoe as I continued to talk, "I broke my shoe and fell. He came over to help me! He was with another really handsome guy! They work for some big shot company too! I got a copy of their account card when they gave it to a cab driver to take me home. They paid."
"Lucky" Hwasa teased, "Why are you telling me?"
"We should meet them again! I'll call them. We can have a double date!" I squealed
"Have you forgotten already? Jeez" Hwasa pulled her hands away, "You are getting married tomorrow. You can't go after anyone now."
My face fell. The handsome men had made me forget about my troubles without my realizing.
"I forgot"
Hwasa giggled slightly at my carelessness. "Come on. I'll dish some ice cream. Go find something to watch." I nodded and went into the living room. "Where is the remote??" I was already frantically looking for it. I had lost it so many times that each time I became more and more worried I wouldn't find it. Hwasa walked into the room with two large bowls of ice cream. "I can't believe you. Have you checked the couch crease." She set the bowls down on the coffee and reached in between the couch cushions. Sure enough it was there. "You leave it there all the time. I feel bad for your future husband. He will have to deal with your forgetfulness after tomorrow."
I grabbed my bowl of vanilla ice cream and began to shovel it into my mouth. "I probably won't even have to lift the remote on my own after I marry him. Apparently he is very rich. We might have maids and stuff." Hwasa began to flip through channels, "Don't get your hopes up. Nobody really has maids anymore. By the way, what is his name?"
"I think it is Jong Suk or something. He is some big CEO hot shot." I looked up at the TV as she flipped through channels. "Wait!!" I yelled, "Go back! Go back!!"
"Why"
"I just saw the guys from today! Go back! Quickly" She flipped it back to a news channel that was covering some big story. "That is him! The one that helped me!" We both stopped and stared holes into the television screen.
"Hold on..." Hwasa gaped at the screen.
"The CEO of Jade Dragon Entertainment, Lee Jong Suk, is scheduled to be married tomorrow afternoon. Everyone in Korean is calling the sudden news a marriage of the century!" The reporter said as pictures of the man I had seen earlier flashed over the screen, "The only question that remains is who is the lucky lady??"
We both gaped at the TV screen. Neither of us could find any words to show our shock. I was to become the "Lucky Lady" of the CEO of the biggest Entertainment Company in all of Kpop.
//and a new story begins! This time my chosen man in Lee Jong Suk. And of course Jade Dragon Entertainment is made up but I liked it so sorry to change all of that up. Anyway I hope you guys enjoy this! Thank you for reading.//
