This was the thing that Manik wanted to explain her by his part of songs.
Somehow he manages to explain her, but he knows its not easy. There is something which is eating her. but what..he doesn't know.. neither he can ask because that friendship has not yet built.
They were walking on edge of water which was shining with blue sparkle. Manik was walking with his hands twined on his back and Nandini was pushing water from her leg and walking.
Suddenly she took some water and splashed on manik's face. He was adoring her, when water droplets hit his face he came back to senses.
Manik: Nandini.. ye kya kar rahi ho..
But nandini again started splashing water and started running towards waves, laughing..
Nandini: Playing.. tum ye enjoy nahi karte kya..
Manik: Nandini.. aage mat jao.. yahi bas.. wait.. stop.
Nandini: Noo..( laughing).. i m loving it.
Nandini was running and manik was behind her running , splashing and playing like a baby..after sometime finally he caught her by her hand and twisted her. His hands went to her waist and her hands poked his chest. Both lost in an eye lock.
Nandini: Maanik.. please leave me.
Manik started tracing his finger from her forehead and tucked her hair strand which was disturbing the beauty.
Manik: Kya kaha.. firse bolo pls.(huskily)
Nandini: Ma..aa..n..ii..k.. please.
Manik: Okay.. but on one condition (he was holding her hair strand too)
Nandini: What (eyes popped out)
Manik: Don't worry aisa kuch nahi bolunga.. i want that..
Nandini: What?
Manik: You will call me by my name. Not Mr.Malhotra.
Nandini: Huh..(eyes popped out and she realised what she said)
Manik: Huh kya huh.. (towards her ears)
She closed her eyes.. she was feeling something different in his embrace which she was loving it. Shiver, feelings, butterflies were running in her heart..
Manik saw her eyes closed and smiled a bit that she gets affected by his touch.
Manik: To bolo.. yes or no.
She opened her eyes.
Nandini: Okay.. Mr. Mal..
Manik: Huh???
Nandini: Okay Manik.. now please leave me..please
Manik left her and again started walking. Both were silent no one was speaking anything. But were gazing and manik saw that a smile was continued on her face and he felt happy too. Manik broke the silence.
Manik: you know why this water sparkles with blue lightning?
Nandini: Aahh.. No.. you know..(surprisingly)
Manik: Yes.. (happily)
Nandini: Can you tell me?
Manik: Yea.. Some red tides, like the one you can see here (pointing towards wave coming from far) which gets the glimpse of thunder, contain phytoplankton. you know, I've been across the Atlantic and Pacific, and I've never seen a spot that wasn't bioluminescent or a night that couldn't be seen. That was superb surrounding. If i'm ever sad na.. so i rush for this places to get this light.
Nandini was listening very carefully and she was enjoying his company. she was feeling very safe with him. she was mesmerised by his explaination.
Nandini: Wow Manik.. you are so lucky.. main kabi aise places pe nahi aayi hu. aur even i was unaware about this place and this sparkle thing. This is soo beautiful.. thank you manik. ( she said all this with a big smile on her face and this smile was captured by manik in his heart)
He was also happy to see that she is actually enjoying and is happy.
Manik forwarding his hand: Friends?
Nandini too forwarded her hand ro shook because she was feeling something different: Okay.. Friends..
After some more chit chats nandini said.
Nandini: Manik..
Manik: Hmm... busy adoring her.
Nandini: Chale.. bahut late ho gaya hai.
Manik: Okay Madam.. as you say.
Both left the beach by walk. They reached home.
Nandini: Thank you manik.
Manik: Ab ye thank you kis liye..
Nandini: For making my birthday so special.
Manik: Okay.. so this is the thing.. so uske liye no thank you.. friends ke liye kuch bhi.. tumhe pta hai na.
Nandini: Yaa.. okay then Good night
Manik: Good night. and yeaa sunno..
Don't shed these tears okay.. (smilingly said)
Nandini: Okay.. (happily)
Both left for their rooms.
Nandini pov
Ye itna bhi bura nahi hai.. acha hai.. something is different in him.. every word which he said touched my heart.. when he touched me.. i was... i.. uff.. Nandini nahi you can't.. remember your health..

Manik in his room with Cabir
Cabir: Aa gya.. btw.. what you people did when we left?? (giggling he asked)
Manik: Caabbbiirrr.. tere dimag main ue sab bakwas aate kaha se hai.. Hum walk kar rahe the bas aur kuch nahi.
Cabir: Bass.. pakka naa (questioningly and joking)
Manik: Ha yaar.. (sitting on bed) she is different yaarr.. kuch to hai jisse ye pareshan hai.. something is there.. which she is hiding.. she is scared of that thing.. this scaring i can see in her eyes.. i want to know that.
Cabir: Manik.. tu thik hai na.. mtlb vo to tere se proper baat bhi nahi karti.. aur to aur.. vo to tujhe Mr.malhotra se bulati hai.. then.. tu kaise pata karega.. she won't tel you anything.
Manik with smile: She called me MANIK..
Cabir: Kya baat kar raha hai.. kab..
Manik lost in his thoughts.. like how he hold her and how she said his name..
Cabir: Maaanniikkk... (shaking him from shoulder) Kaha kho gaya..
Manik: Nothing.. bas.. she finally said Manik..
Cabir: Chal acha hai... Acha i'm sleeping tu bhi change karke soja.. its already late.. kal fir tu late uthega.
Manik: Haa.. tu soja.. i'll be sleeping later.
Cabir slept. Manik was talking to himself.
She is special yaar.. she was getting affected by my touch.. do she still love me?.. but what is that she is scared of.. aj uski happiness uski eyes mein thi.. hwr eyes wqs sparkling like that blue water.. i need to find out. i need to make her life some worthful.. what she deserves she will get it.. i promise to you Nandini.. i promise..
Saying this he too drifted to sleep.
