You give up, and let them take you away. You look at Laurence, and he looks at you with tears in his eyes. Then you turn around a corner, and you can't see him anymore.
That was the last time you saw him.
His blue eyes, messy light brown hair.
And that smile that always made you smile, well, that was gone too.
Zane never told you what happened until today. You build up the courage to ask.
"Zane" you ask, and he looks up from his book.
"Yes?" He says.
"....what happened to Laurence and the rest of Phoenix Drop" you ask.
"Are you sure you want to know?" Zane asks, and you nod.
"Well, most of Phoenix Drop went back to the village. Except Laurence, Aphmau and Garroth" Zane says, and you give him a death glare. He ignores it, and continues.
"Aphmau wished to die, after 1 month. Garroth tried to speak her out of it, but it was her wish" You can feel tears forming in your eyes.
"Garroth and Laurence are still here in the dungeons" Zane says,
"WHAT?! After 1 year, they're STILL here?!" You ask.
"Yes. Laurence went crazy, so he's just walking around, screaming and muttering stuff. Garroth acts normal" Zane says.
"Can I see them?!" You ask.
"Fine then" Zane says, and you follow him to the dungeons. For some reason, you've been treated like a princess, but that didn't make you happier. Down in the dungeons, you see them. And just as Zane said, Laurence has lost it. He's pacing around in the cell, muttering stuff. Garroth rushes up when he sees you.
"(Name) you are free to go down here 1 hour each day" Zane says, and leaves with a smirk.
"Are you okay?!" You ask.
"I-im fine, but he's not" Garroth says, and points at Laurence.
"Listen, that smirk on Zane's face, means he's up to something. Watch out" Garroth suddenly says. You just nod.

Zane came back, and you left the dungeons. He still had the smirk on his face.
"We need to talk" he says, and you follow him to the dining room.
"What" you say.
"About our marriage" Zane says, and you rush up.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!" You shout.
"You want to keep those two down in the dungeons alive? It's simple, you marry me" Zane says.
"WHY?!" You ask.
"I told you" he says.
"WHY ME?!" You shout.
"Because I will need to be married before I can become Lord" Zane says.
"No" you say.
"I look forward to attending their funereal" Zane smirks.
".....If I marry you, you'll leave them alone, so will everyone else" you say.
"Of course" Zane says, then you walk out of the room.
"Willow, please don't touch that" you say to the little girl, she looks exactly like Zane.
"Why mommy?" She asks. She looks like him, but her personality is the complete opposite.
"That's....Willow, can you go play with Laila?" You ask, and willow runs off. Your maid comes in. She's actually your best friend.
"(Name) are you oka-oh" Your maid, called Lily asks but stops when she sees the picture you're looking at. Brown hair, blue eyes, and that never leaving smile. Laurence. It's been 10 years, and you still miss him. Zane is actually there for you when you cry sometimes, but Lily is always cheering you up.
Then someone bursts through the door.
"Your Majesty" He says.
"Yes?" You sigh.
"We have received a letter from your husband, Zane" he says, and you open the letter.
Dear (name)
I have received word from Phoenix Drop, and they want us to attend a funereal. If I tell you who it is, I am sure you won't so I am not going to tell you. We are leaving in 2 days, I'm coming home tomorrow.
Love, Zane.
You read, and sigh again.

You have just arrived in Phoenix Drop. Garroth was there, but Laurence wasn't . And there was a reason.
He was the one who was killed.
That was why Zane didn't tell you anything.
And from that day, you realized that some people are in your life either to make you happy, or teach you a lesson. But there's the catch; the ones that make you happy, are always the ones leaving.
