Chapter 7

KOUEN

Ren Kouen was preparing to leave  camp, He gathered his men, he had decided to bring a hundred of them in full battle armour, weapons and all. They started off on their journey early in the morning, going the opposite way from kougyoku. A while later after walking through the forest for nearly an hour he saw something through the trees, it was a large blue statue with a crown he thought to himself that must be a statue of their queen, when I conquer this land I will replace it with a statue of myself. He decided he must go to that statue. After walking for several hours he reached the edge of the land and it went into the ocean, he saw that the statue was out on the water, he then noticed some boats tied to a dock. He walked to one of the boat's with a man out front he spoke in a demanding voice "You, lowly commoner bring me to that floating statue, so i may see it for myself". The boatman responded " I'd be happy to take ye' anywhere so long ye' pays me". Kouen responded slyly "of course i'll pay thee, as long as you bring me and my soldiers back afterwards". The boatman (who was not very smart) responded "that's a fair deal as long as ye' pays me". Kouen and his men stepped onto the boat and it headed towards the blue lady.

Once they got there the boat docked and they stepped off, Kouen walked towards the blue lady. Kouen tells his men to stay near the boat and that he will go on alone. he notices a group of people about to enter the statue and walked over. they entered the statue and then walked into a small box room made of metal. The box began to move, Kouen panicked and drew his long sword, he pointed it at the leader of the group and said "Where is this box taking us, is it some kind of portal? Tell me or i will skewer you!". the woman in charge spoke shakily "the b.. b.. box takes us up to the c..c crown". Kouen put his sword back and calmed himself.  the box dinged and the doors opened. He imagined a wonderful crown with jewels that he could steal and place on his own head, he was disappointed to find only an empty room with windows all around. He walked to a window and looked out over the city. "Where is this crown you speak of!!" the tour guide spoke " we are inside the crown sir, it is the crown on the statue, we are on it's head". "oh, of course, i, umm knew that" Kouen said in an embarrassed tone. All the rest of the tour Kouen was planning how to conquer this strange land.
