It's my first day at my new school. Crestwood High. It's my junior year and I just so happened to come in during the middle of the school year. Great...not.
We just moved into town because of the typical, my dad got a promotion offer. Don't get me wrong I'm happy for him, it's just he doesn't understand how hard this is going to be for me. To make new friends in a new town where I'm pretty sure everyone knows everyone. My younger sister, Jo, is lucky because she is in kindergarten so it will be easy for her to make new friends.
If you're asking about my mom, well she pretty much left us for a younger man who divorced his wife to be with her. Dumbass! She left me to keep this family together and healthy. My dad was upset but he put all his hurt and anger into his work. I appreciate him for being a mature adult, but that meant he would be working long hours at the office managing the detective services. So that left me to play mommy for Jo. She was so young that she doesn't even remember our mom when she left us 3 years ago, she was 1 turning 2 and I was 15. I know what you're thinking... what kind of mother leaves her children? Well that my piece of shit mother for you.
"Good morning honey," my dad kissed the top of my head and grabbed the cup of coffee and newspaper I laid out for him like I always do, "are you ready for your first day of school?" he asked half interested in me and half interested in what he was reading.
"Yeah dad, ecstatic!" I said sarcastically. He noticed and put down the paper. He finished his coffee and took the cup to the sink, rinsing it out before putting it into the dishwasher. He turned around straightening out his dress shirt and was trying to put on his tie. I sighed and walked up to him, putting on the tie for him. I put the tip through the loop and pushed the knot up.
"Honey I understand that this is really hard on you," no you don't, I thought, "but this is a great new beginning for Jo and especially us. I have a great job and we have this nice, big, beautiful house." He said trying to comfort me but I just nodded my head not wanting to do this now. "By the way, can you take Jo to school? I have to be in early and get my office set up." He said handing me my car keys. He bought me a car when we arrived here 3 days ago, hoping I would forgive him for moving all the way across the country to this town in North Carolina. I never blamed him but it hurt a little that he thought spending money on me would make me feel better.
"Sure dad. I was going to get a latte before school anyway." I said giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Love you and have a great first day at work!" I said meaning it. I just knew today would be the hardest day.
I got Jo dressed for school and we left the house early so I could try and get time to look around my new school. I dropped her off telling her to make new friends. I drove to school but stopped to get my latte first. As I pulled into school I looked for the farthest parking space so I wouldn't catch too much attention. I took a deep breath, turning off my car and stepping out. I walked past a group of girls surrounding a nice, red sports car, whispering to each other and then looking at me. I walked further and was passing a jeep full of what looked like jocks, and they just wolf whistled at me as I walked past. I rolled my eyes, throwing away my latte and walked through the front doors. I instantly went searching for the front office.
I finally found it as I turned a corner and saw the big "FRONT OFFICE" sign. I walked in and saw a red haired lady typing something on the computer. I cleared my throat and she looked up at me, her glasses hanging off her nose. "Sorry I'm Kasie Lander. I'm new here." I said to her and she instantly smiled.
"Oh! Sorry honey! We have been expecting you, let me just get your schedule printed out." She said sweetly. She printed it off and stuck a postit note to the paper. "This is your schedule for the year and that is your locker number and combination code." She said pointing to the note.
"Thank you. Can you point to which way my locker would be located?" I asked giving her a nervous smile.
"Sure, it's to your right and should be towards the end of the hallway." She directed me.
I smiled and thanked her. I headed toward where she told me to go and finally found my locker. I put in my combination and jiggled the lock trying to open it. It didn't work. I did this 5 different times and cussed under my breath at how dumb I must look. I tried it one more time and pulled the lock upwards one last time. It still didn't work and I face palmed myself out of frustration. Then I heard someone bang on my locker and I jumped from the loud bang.
"That's how you open it newbie." I heard a male voice say in my ear harshly and I jumped once again because I didn't know he was that close. He chuckled and walked away. Dick! He was wearing a black leather jacket, black jeans and white Supras. Who did he think he was, a greaser? He had light brown almost blonde looking hair. That was all I could see since his back was turned towards me. Already my first day of school and I didn't like that boy!

Testing this story out.... I started it a couple years ago on JBFF but stopped because... i don't really remember...
But I actually really enjoyed this story and all the things I had planned for it so I'm trying it out on here!
Let me know if you want the full chapter! I'll go ahead and start it off where I left off here so you don't have to re-read all of this part again!
I'm feeling pretty good about this story but I have another story out that is my main priority and on top of that I am officially a college student so my time is very limited to strictly weekend updates but who knows if one day I decide to post in the middle of the week?!
Right now it's easy because these first few chapters are already written out so I just have to proof read them and see is they are okay to publish so let me know quickly so I'll update more often!
