You're A Mermaid

Peter: You hear a dive above you and you look behind you to see King Peter swimming towards you. You smile and wave to him and he swims closer to you. As he comes closer to you, you swim over to meet him and kiss him quickly before taking his hand and pulling him back to the surface. As you both surface, he looks at you and smiles. "I know how much you hate meeting underwater," you say. "It's worth it," Peter says with a grin. The two of you swam over to a nearby rock and Peter lifted you up onto it. You loved how much his muscles had developed trying to lift you onto rocks. People don't often realize how heavy a mermaid is since half of your body is a fish tail. Peter heaved himself onto the rock next to you, taking off his shirt for it to dry. He took your hand and leaned into kiss you. You playfully grinned and flicked your tail, spraying him with water. "(Y/N)!" Peter yells. You laugh and he wipes off his face. He kisses you and you rest your head on his shoulder. "So the others are getting suspicious," he says. "And what have you been telling them?" you ask. "That I have business to attend to. At some point Lucy will follow me. Didn't you say that when you come onto land you grow legs?" Peter wants to know. "Sort of. But don't you want them to like me for me as opposed to being a human?" you say. Peter looks thoughtful. "Meet us at the beach tomorrow, at the rocks?" he finally asks. "Wouldn't miss it," you say and after one final kiss, you dive back into the water and swim off.

Edmund: From what you can see, King Edmund can't swim. When someone is drowning or the other three are swimming, he only goes knee deep while the others do the swimming. So you've formed a plan. Since you have the rare ability to change your tail into legs you are going to play the role of a drowning girl. One night when he's completely alone on the beach, you put your plan into action. You pull on the dress you got from one of the dryads and concentrate on your tail, which slowly turns into legs. You move your arms to get the water in motion and dip under the water. You come up, gasping for breath. "Help!" you yell, ducking back under the water. You come back up and call for help again, peeking through one barely open eye to see if he's looking. You see him knee deep in the water and so you duck back under the waves and come up splashing and coughing again. You submerge yourself again and are so busy with your thrashing that the feel of arms around your waist surprises you. You're pulled to the shore and you feebly cough out some water. "Hi Ed," you say as your tail comes back. "(Y/N)!" Edmund says, "what on Earth were you doing?" You sheepishly explain your charade and Edmund shakes his head. "Why didn't you just ask me? I can swim but I don't like to. I'm a bit hydrophobic, but Peter and Susan made me learn to swim," he explains. You nod and he kisses you. "Don't do that again. Please," he says and you nod, leaning against his chest. "It is ironic that you fell in love with a mermaid though," you say and he laughs. "You're telling me," he says.

Caspian: You pass under a giant ship and glide through the water. You're on a mission to find shells for a new necklace for Queen Lucy. As you find the perfect one, an object comes hurtling towards you. You draw your hand to you just as the sword embeds itself into the sandy bottom. You look up to see someone dive into the water. As the water clears from his face you see that it's King Caspian. He doesn't seem to notice you and you call his name before remembering that he can't hear you. You don't often talk to humans, except for Queen Lucy. He grabs his sword and looks towards you and you point at towards the sky. He nods and you two surface. "Is that your sword?" you ask. "Yes," Caspian says. "It nearly killed me," you tell him. "Sorry about that," he says. He puts it in the sheath and looks up at his giant ship. "We were just playing," Caspian explained. You nod. "Play more carefully, please. For the sake of us merpeople," you say before diving back into the water, continuing on your search far from the ship.

Eustace: You hear rustling in the grass and raise your head to see a boy about your age come out of the tall grass to the area where you were sunbathing. When he sees you he stops dead in his tracks. "Y-you... You're a m-m-m-m-" he stammers. "Mermaid?" you finish for him. "Yes, I am a mermaid. I'm (Y/N)," you say. "Eustace," he says. "Eustace?" you say and shrug. "Aren't mermaids supposed to have legs out of water?" Eustace asks. "Some do. Like you humans have races and like fishes have breeds, there are different types of mermaids. But to have legs out of water is not common. Most mermaids are just mermaids. Some have the extremely rare power to change even water. But you have a limit to that," you explain. "But enough about me. Do you swim?" you want to know. "Of course I can," Eustace says. "Want to join me for a swim?" you ask. He looks back to where he came and back to you. "Fine," he says. You crawl to the water and go under to clean yourself of sand before popping your head back up. Eustace takes off his socks and shoes and wades out to his waist. "Are these waters safe?" he asks. "Of course. The sharks are tame. And we won't even go near them. I'll take you to see the dolphins," you say. You hold your hand out and he cautiously takes it and you pull him out into the sea before he can change his mind.
