Whispers

15 2 2

The whispers around him

He does not need to hear

Eyes shut closed

Hands covering his ears

He's fighting a war

In his mind

With the unneeded bullying

He's fighting by himself

The hallways are a battlefield

He did not sign up for this

Wanting to stay home

He pushes himself

"I'll win today."

Is what he tells himself everyday

Then he thinks

"But I'm ready to give up."

His friends do not know

But they worry for him

They don't know his sad tale

What they do see is his ongoing war

"I'm ok."

"Don't worry."

"I'm just tired."

"They're just joking."

His lies pile up one after another

"Let us help you."

His friends offer

But instead, he pushes them away

The darkness is eating away his soul

Dragging him down with it

It won't leave, it won't disappear

Negativity soon wraps around him

He screams

"I don't deserve this!"

He's breaking apart

Bit by bit

His parents are worried

He shuts them out

His friends try to help

He cuts off contact

Adults reach out to him

He runs away

Click

The door to the bathroom

Locked

He holds up a pair of scissors to his wrists

Pressing them down

Hard

It makes a white mark

He shuts his eyes closed

Breaths hard

"Don't do it."

A tiny voice says

He shakes his head

"I have to! I have to!"

He's convinced everything is his fault

Everyone has been pushed away

Because it was his fault

The tiny voice disappears

He's been abandoned

The scissors almost make a cut

Hands are clenched around it

Knuckles white

Tear streaked face

Who will save him?

It must be too late

But he thinks of people who cares

People who still comforts him

They have not given up

So why should he?

He loosens his grip

Clang

The scissors drop to the floor

Hands pressed against his face

He is ashamed of what he's tried to do

Walking out the room

He's greeted by family and friends

They all gather around

A light is shining through that darkness

Negativity is being eaten away

"I'll win today."

He thinks

The whispers disappear

Bullies grew tired

He has won the battle he's fought for so long

A whisper in his ear says

"Congratulations, you made it."

************

Sorry for all the sad writing >.<

It's just that this does happen everyday.

And too often if you ask me.

These people need to be heard and saved.

I really despise bullies.

If you're a victim, please stay strong <3

There are people out there who do care and love you.

Trust me.

And remember to smile ^.^
