Safaree traced Alianna's jawline with his finger before lifting up her head. His eyes caught her gaze and he looked deep into them.
"Alianna, that's just the question I've been wanting to answer. As soon as I laid my eyes in you I knew that you were my beautiful little girl and all I wanted was for you to call me daddy. There's no need to ask sweetie. Of course you can call me daddy. I'm all yours."
Safaree and Alianna smiled at each other simultaneously. All of a sudden, Alianna threw herself into Safaree's arms and he welcomed the hug, embracing her and hugging her tight. Alianna rested her head on Safaree's shoulder and he rested his head on hers. She turned her head to the side and whispered in his ear.
"I love you daddy."
"I love you baby girl."
Safaree felt Alianna's body jerking softly, and pulled back to see that she was crying.
"Aww baby what's wrong?" he asked her contently and placed his hands on her shoulders.
She sniffed, wiped her eyes with the palms of her tiny, petite hands and looked up.
"Nothing's wrong. I'm so happy. I can't believe I've actually got a daddy to call my own. A daddy that will always protect me, care for me, save me from trouble. I finally have my own hero."
Alianna smiled and a tear of joy slid down her cheek. Safaree sat down, picked her up and put her on his lap. She wrapped her arms around his waist and nestled her head into his chest.
