Choices

Your luck wont last long

Charlie and I walked out of the tent to see all the campers standing in the maid grounds . there was an array of weapons lined on a table . Charlie and I quickly went and stood behind the crowd . we were instructed to choose any weapon of our choice and then we will be put to partners to practice with and then we'll have to fight against them . I linked my hands with Charlie hoping that we'll be partners. Charlie gave me a weak smile and then we were lined up and told to select our weapon of choice . finally it was my turn and I walked toward the table . I noticed that there were seven pairs of bow and arrows , two swords and other kinds of weapons but my eyes rested on a dagger which sat by its own . I picked it up and made my way to one of the head campers who paired me up with ,

Guess who ?

LOGAN

Whoever who guess it gets a bag full of chocolates coz thank you for making it clear that my life is so predictable and it sucks at the same time .

I walked towards Logan who just smirked . I groaned out loud and Logan gave me a look , "why am I that charming that you need to groan that loud to get my attention ? " He asked wriggling his eyebrows . I raised an eyebrow , " Oh yea ! " I said sarcastically .

We soon got to practice and Logan and I didn't practice together . we had our backs onto each other .

Soon our practice time was over and we were asked to fight each other. each duo was brought forward and they were asked to fight each other. Charlie was partners with this weak boy and in seconds Charlie had that boy pinned on the ground . soon it was our turn . " Keep calm and loose nice , " Logan said as he walked to the centre.

I walked behind him and heard squealing surely from the girls and Logan gave them this playboy grin . Aubrey was right in front and gave him a sick wave and blew a kiss . Logan gave her a smile and turned to face me . the head camper blew his whistle and logan charged at me with his sword and I deflected his blow with the dagger . there were gasps from the crowd and Logan took his next blow harder and I twisted my arm and deflected it . the fight became more serious and there were times when Logan got the upper hand . somehow I was able to have him pinned on the ground with the dagger pointed at his throat . Logan's eyes met mine and I noticed something flash before his eyes , some different Logan that was hiding inside . he hesitated for sometime and was about to say something when the crowds cheer drowned the different him and a smirk returned to his face . I rolled my eyes and stood off him and he got up . " Your lucky but your luck will run off soon , " He said and walked away . I really hate that guy .

I was down at the beach alone and memories of the past flashed past me . I still remembered the time when Logan , Charlie and I were playing families . Logan and I was the happy couple and Charlie was the child . I remembered the day when Logan stood up for me on my birthday when meanies bullied me saying that pink was girlish . Logan had given me a hug and then promised that he'll always be with me . Charlie had promised the same thing and its Charlie alone who had lived upto his promise . why did Logan change ? I never knew why . I turned to see Logan walk with Aubrey . The way they held hands made me want to punch Aubrey in the face . I immediately dismissed the thought , I have no right to feel for Logan like this . I stood up and brushed my jeans and walked back to my tent .
