Kian's POV
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, THEY HAVE GONE MISSING?" Rick's name appeared on my mobile, his dark and devilish tone revealing itself through the text.
My hands were shaking, and I begun to stall on my answer, still roaming the premises, trying to find any sign of life. Jc was back in the van, now heading along the country trail, as Sawyer took the forest.
I on the other hand, was waiting for Rick's arrival, sat in the kitchen with my gun. If they were to come back, I wasn't sure if I would shoot them dead, or just ask why. It wasn't like they needed anything from here, not if we were occupying the place.
They wouldn't dare.
To stop my knees shaking, I stood up, and began to pace the hall. I was cursing at myself for being so stupid, blaming this whole disappearance on my own self absorbed personality. If I hadn't have left them both, my plan would have worked, and Rick would be the mellow man again, the one I could earn money from.
I knew of course that he would never trust me like before, but the thought that my life was on the line scared me, and I was desperate to keep it in my grasp.
I was brought away from my thinking as I heard a pounding at the door, my stomach twisting along with the door knob, as I lent back into my chair.
Rick was here.

Connor's POV
I watched him carefully.
I watched from the grass as he began to bathe in the water, removing his blood stained shirt, and maroon coloured skinny jeans. I watched until he was left in his boxers, stood beautifully against the river bed.
"What you staring at Franta?" He smirked, knowing that I could only see the back of him. I sat painfully wishing that he would turn around, but the sight of his shoulders, and the little dimples, on either sides of his spine, rendered me giddy, as he lowered himself into the water.
"I wish I could join you." I sighed, looking down at my stomach with caution, and gulping at the sight.
I watched as Troye raised his eyebrows, his hand signalling for me to move towards him, accompany him in the water, but I just shook my head, pointing to my injuries in annoyance.
"Do you want me to help you?" He asked sweetly, slowly shuffling out of the river, and making his way towards the tree.
I nodded at his gesture and interwind his bony fingers with mine, as he pulled me up gracefully, into a pained standing position.
I felt so weak you see?
My body was craving medical attention, and each hour that passed, increased the ache in my limbs and the shooting pain in my stomach. I could taste the metallic blood, still lingering in my mouth, and my sudden urge to whine overcame me, as I let out a whimsical moan.
"Woah, woah, it's okay, nearly there." I could feel Troye guiding me, his hands firmly holding my shoulders as I scrunched my eyes shut.
He was being so caring, and it warmed my heart, but I felt like I would only break his, my death inevitable if I stayed out here much longer. He seemed like such a fragile soul, and I felt a need to protect him, even if it did cost me my life.
"Are you ready?" He giggled, watching as I dipped my toe in the water. He knew what was coming when I let out a large yelp, hastily pulling away from its coldness. He just laughed at my attempt to move forward, and jumped back in, swimming back into the blue ripples.
"Come on, I'll hold you up." He gestured, looping my arms around his neck, eyeing me carefully as I got in. "See it's not so bad!" He smiled, pulling us around slightly, so we moved through the water.
"This feels so much better." I confessed, breathing in the fresh air, as I sat straddling. My stomach was soothed by the cold temperature, beginning to numb the pain, and Troye held my weight, easily saving my energy.
"Thanks Tro." I breathed, hanging my head in the crook of his neck, giggling into his shoulder as he slowly spun us around, his messy curls tickling my face. "I've never done this before." I stated.
"Done what? Swam in a river?" He questioned, kissing the side of my head. I looked up and shook it, laughing at his response.
"I've never been this intimate with a boy before, I mean you're practically naked in here Tro." I gulped back the tension, and watched as he looked himself up and down. He let out a stifled giggle, and splashed me playfully, as he pulled back a bit.
"I've never done this either Con." he shrugged his shoulders, and for a second I couldn't peal myself away from his eyes, all shimmering and blue, matching water's pigment. He blinked slowly, eyeing me with passion and innocence. It was truly the most beautiful thing I had witnessed.
"I'm glad I'm here with you then." I whispered, moving my hands from his neck to his chin, and cupping it in my palms.
He gave me a nervous curl of the lips, before leaning towards me, his wet forehead resting on mine, and messy curls proving to be sexy in this position. All I could see were the features on his face, all raw and beautiful.
I stroked his birthmark, tracing my finger back down to his jaw, before pulling his head up, and sealing our lips together, in one careful motion.
Our kiss was long and passionate, romantic under the sunshine, and neither of us urged to pull away. His touch was so soft and inviting, that it soothed my agony, and numbed my discomfort. It changed it into a different sort of feeling, something that was too overpowering not to acknowledge.
I didn't feel pain.
I felt loved...
