New Years and Cody's birthday

Time indeed flies when you're enjoying yourself... It's going to be a New Year tonight. I don't know why, but I think Cody hates me or angry, maybe? He doesn't talk to me much.

And the fireworks blow off sending colors in the sky. I sat and enjoy watching it with these lovely people watching the display with me. It was a fun night. Greyson's parents slept after an hour or so and also Cody's.

While we youngies, we were enjoying our morning(dawn).

We stayed up till 5, I think? I woke up at 1 in the aftie and saw young people laying around the house. Alexa, Harry, and Danielle were already awake. I chuckled a bit at the sight of Cody laying on the carpet, sleeping.

~~~~~Skip For A Few Days~~~~~

It's Cody's birthday today and I don't have a gift. He's having a party at this party house and of course, he invited us and Harry.

I went around the mall looking for a gift but...I never seem to find a great gift for him and ended up going home without a gift.

"I'm home!" I shouted with a guy's voice.

"Who's there?" A voice asked.

"It's a drunk man with a beanie!" I shouted drunkily but my voice seemed to remain normal.

I saw Cody stepping down the steps of the stairs slowly.

"Where's everyone?" I asked.

"Uh...I don't know. I woke up without them." He explained.

Awkward silence filled in the whole house. Not even a single bird chirping.

"I..uh.. I need to go." I excused. I don't wanna be in that house alone with a person who seemed to be ignoring me. I turned to walk when a hand grabbed hold on my wrist. I turned and faced Cody.

"Did you keep your promise?" He asked.

"What promise?" I asked as if I didn't know about it.

"The only promise you made to me before you left." He said.

"Yes, I did. How 'bout you?" I asked.

He looked sad the moment I said yes and nervous when I asked him the question. He kept quiet.

"Silence means yes. So, I guess you did?" I said unsure if he kept the promise. I walked out. Well, Silence doesn't always mean yes. Maybe that's why he's avoiding me- because he never kept the promise.

I continued walking with my head down. I wonder where the others are. I texted Greyson and asked where they were. I arrived at the park and waited for Greyson's reply.

OMG! What if they were kidnapped...That would never happen, right. But there's a possibility. He's rich and a lot of people would like to steal rich people and their stuffs. I got worried and called Harry.

~~~~~Convo with Harry~~~~~

Harry: Hello?

Me: Harry!

Harry: What happened?

Me: Is Greyson with you?

Harry: Yes, why?

Me: Good. I thought he was gone.

Harry: Gone? What do you mean?

Me: I mean I thought something bad happened. He didn't text back.

Harry: Oh, he just left his phone.

Me: K. Bye.

Harry: See you at the party.

Me: I'm not sure I'm coming...

I hang up quickly after I quickly said the last line. I seriously don't like typical American parties. You know, the ones where people just party and dance with the music playing too loud. I like parties with just a few people hanging out somewhere like a dinner in a restaurant or just at home having fun.

I went to the café and planned on stayin there 'till it closes which is at 8pm. I went to the bookstore beside the café and bought Hunger games and Perks of Being a Wallflower.

I went back to the café and ordered some snacks. I sipped some coffee once in a while as I was interested in the books I was reading. I'm a fast reader so I usually finish books-more or less, after 2 hours. I was "slow reading" Hunger Games and it took me about 4 hours to finish the book. I began reading Perks of being a wallflower.

I glanced at my watch. 7:30pm... I should go. Their party started about an hour ago. I walked slowly down the sidewalk.

"Hey!" A voice called from behind. I didn't mind it because he/she was probably calling someone else.

"Hey!" He/she called again.

"Kim!" the person called.

I turned and looked at the person who called me. It was Clare.

"Clare!" I exclaimed with happiness.

"Isn't it Cody's birthday today?" she asked as I put my coat on.

"Yeah. Why?" I asked.

"I thought you were invited." She asked with a sad expression.

"I AM invited. I just... don't like parties." I explained.

"You're wasting your opportunity." She told me. I don't care. Actually, there are three reasons why. First of all, I don't want to since it's one of those American house parties(but it's celebrated in a fancier venue) Second, because I'm leaving. I still got classes ya know. I'm actually leaving near midnight. And Third, I think Cody's avoiding me. Whatever he ate that made him that way had a great effect.

Clare walked with me and stayed with me 'till nine. She went home and left me. I still hand half a box of pizza left from earlier. Geez, I wish their party would end earlier because Greyson and Harry have to catch their plane. I wasn't bored at all. I want to be home alone. I know, Loner.

Meanwhile, At the party...

"Dude! Where's Kim?!?" Cody shouted over the music. Greyson looked around and asked Harry the same question.

"She doesn't want to come." Harry replied shouting. Greyson walked back to Cody.

"Cody! Harry said that she's not coming." Greyson told Cody. A frown overtook his smile and dullness invaded his once sparkley eyes. Poor Cody...

Back home...

"Where are those two? I guess I'll have to the airport without them." I murmured. I got a sticky note and wrote:

I'm off to England. See you next time I come back. CALL ME on skype. IAmKim <--- Skype name.

I took a ride to the airport with 15 minutes until the flight. The voice of the speaker sounded and that's my que. First call. I went to the gate and before you know it, I was already on the plane finding my seat. I waited for the plane to take off. I forgot something! Harry and Greyson were not there yet.

Everyone seemed settled down when two guys who just arrived scared some of us who were paying attention to our surroundings because they just appeared from behind the flight attendant and breathing heavily. Then and there I realized it was Greyson and Harry.

They rushed to their seats near me as the plane was taking off. The whole plane ride was quiet. None of the two boys talked to me.
