13. Odd

Jasmine's P.O.V

A few days later..

I was walking to Andrea's house when I saw Luke about to cross the street.

"Luke" I called to him, he turned to look at me then looked away and started to cross the street again.

I ran up to him.

"Hey why are you avoiding me, I haven't seen you since the Q&A where have you been" I asked.

"Just y'know spending time with my cousin Leila, she's leaving at the end of the month so might as well" He shrugged.

"Oh, I don't remember a Leila" I tried to think back to when I met all of his cousins.

"You never met her, she didn't come to that reunion" he said dryly avoiding eye contact with me.

"Why aren't you looking at me" I asked him. He's acting really how should I say this, odd.

"No reason, anyway I have to finish up the song I'm almost done" he said walking away.

"Okay see you later then?" I shouted but he just kept on walking. Why was he acting so odd. I walked the opposite way to head to Andrea's house.

Once I got there I knocked on the door since I knew that Andrea doesn't like the sound of her doorbell. The door opened revealing..

"Calum, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Wait, what are you doing here, you didn't ask Andrea if you can come over" he asked scratching the back of his head.

"This is my best friends house, I come here without asking permission anytime I want" I said. Calum was acting odd as well.

"Calum who's at the do- oh hey Jasmine" Andrea said once she saw me.

"Wait what's going on here, why are you at her house" I asked, I was so confused.

"Well um, we'll tell you later" Calum said closing the door on me. That was really odd. I decided to call Ashton and ask where he was.

"Ashton, I'm really bored so, wanna hang out" I asked.

"Sorry can't" he said into the phone.

"Why not" I asked.

"I'm drum stick shopping" he giggled.

"Did you break your drum sticks again" I giggled.

"Nope" He said. I was so confused.

"Then why are you-" he cut me off.

"I have to go, I found these cool drum sticks, BYE" he said. That was odd.

I had no one else to hang out with other than Michael. I decided to call him.

"MICHAEL, want to hang out today" I asked.

"Sure, where" he said.

"Mall? I don't know" I said.

"But there's so many people there" He complained.

"Then where" I asked.

"Pizza place" he asked.

"Sure sure" I said and hung up. I started to walk over to the pizza place.

Once I got there I saw Michael already sitting at one of the booths eating pizza. I walked in and sat with him.

"Hey" I said.

"Hey" he said taking a bite into his pizza.

"So why'd you want to hang out" he asked.

"Well because I had no one to hang out with, and everyone's being odd today" I said looking away.

"How" he asked.

"Well first of all, I saw Luke about to cross the street so I called his name but then he totally ignored me and he just continued to cross the street and when I walked up to him he was barely looking at me" I told him and he nodded.

"Then, I went over to Andrea's house and Calum answered the door, I was so confused on why he was there and he said he would tell me later" I told him.

"After that, I called Ashton to ask if he wanted to hang out, but he said he couldn't cause he was 'drumstick shopping' and I asked if he broke his drum sticks or something and he said nope"  I said.

"You were the only one who wasn't really acting weird" I told him.

"Ah, I see, I know why they were all acting odd" he nodded.

"Why" I asked.

"Well who do you want to know about first" he asked.

"Ashton, like did he just not want to hang out with me so he made something up called 'drumstick shopping" I asked.

"What day is it today" Michael asked randomly.

"What do you mean, I asked you why is everyone being odd and you jus-" he cut me off.

"What day is it today" he asked again.

"Saturday" I told him crossing my arms.

"Saturday is the day Ashton goes Drum stick shopping, he has a habit of just going drum stick shopping even if the ones he has now are not broken, sometimes he buys some for back up" He explained to me and I nodded.

"That makes sense, what about Calum and Andrea" I asked.

"Oh right, Last night Calum asked her out on a date so they're just watching a movie together at her house" He explained.

"SHE DIDNT TELL ME, AW THATS SO CUTE" I squeaked.

"She didn't tell you because they aren't official yet, she wanted to tell you when they are official" he said.

"How do you know about all of this" I asked in a curious tone.

"One time, Ashton took me Drum stick shopping on a Saturday and he said how he goes every Saturday" he said.

"And I was there when Calum asked Andrea out on a date" he added in.

"Wait, what about Luke, why was he ignoring me" I asked.

"I don't know, he never told me anything, all I know is he's been acting odd to me too" He said.

"I really want to know what has been up with him lately, I mean at the Q&A he was practically crying because of the song he made and who he wrote it for and since then he's been acting weird" I explained.

"Maybe later me and the guys will have a little talk with him to ask what been up, I mean I don't think he's been talking to Rebecca at all in the last few days" he said.

"Do you think there's something going on with him and Rebecca" I asked.

"We'll just wait and see" he said getting up.

"Hey, make sure you tell me what happens when you talk to him" I told him and he nodded and walked off. I really wonder what's been on Luke's mind lately. I'm getting A little bit worried.
