"Mili are you okay?" I screeched as she hit sat on the pavement. "Yah I'm okay, but did you see that guy!" she exclaimed. Mili was always the one to fall in love when she saw somebody attractive. "Come on, let's go to this awesome restaurant that's like 15 minutes away." she said and we both nodded.

In the car we gossiped about life in 3 different cities. "Dude in London we have to be like 15 minutes early for the Tube or else you get cut off and will never get it. And it's stressful" I complained and Mili rolled her eyes. "Try getting a cab in New York. It's nearly impossible especially near the touristy areas where I work." she said. Emily wanted to one up us but she knew it wasn't worth trying. "But it's worth it because the English guys are beautiful" I said and Mili cooed. "Em do you have a boyfriend?" I asked and she shrugged. "I don't know, I mean, he's taken me on a couple of dates but he isn't really committing to anything." she complained, lifting her hand off the wheel to flip off a driver who almost cut her off. "God I hate LA traffic" she mumbled and I laughed because road rage was always a thing with her. "What about you Mika?" interjected in Emily's raging. I shook my head. There was a guy who had the apartment next to me, but he had only asked me out once and I was busy, so we didn't ever go out. "Eh there's somebody but we haven't had a chance to go out yet." I said and Mili punched my arm.

"Go for it you pussy." she said and I stuck out my tongue. "I hate you" I said under my breath, just enough for her to hear. "yah right, also not to brag but I do have a boyfriend." she clearly bragged. "Oh my god really!" said Emily making eye contact with her in the rear view mirror. "Yah his name is Alex. He was born in England but moved to New York when he was 1 so he doesn't have an accent." she said and Emily hit her hands on the steering wheel. She loved love and she always expressed it in elaborate ways. "Hey we're like 2 blocks away ladies" said Emily from the front seat as we passed a department store. Then I remembered. "Guys I need to stop at a bank really quick because I only have English money, I forgot to exchange some." I said and Mili groaned.

"Fine, but you'll have to pay for the hell this one is going to cause because she's hungry." said Emily pointing at Mili with her thumb. "Fuck off you bitch." she grumbled and I laughed. She was cute when she got mad so it wasn't scary. "Don't laugh at me." she said and I laughed more just to piss her off.

"Okay children. The nearest bank is 6 blocks from here. How about we order and while the food is being made you can walk there." suggested Emily and Mili clapped her hands. "YESYESYESYES!" screeched the Latina girl. "Okay sounds good for this child" I said and Emily nodded her head. We pulled into a parking lot of a seemingly French cafe. At that moment I was glad that I took French in college because I could show off and translate for my friends. "Guys I can smell the bread from here." said Mili and Emily chuckled. On the door it said fresh bread baked daily so I was excited to see what they had in store.

"So this is a really famous cafe here in LA, I actually have some photos here from that trip to Paris when we went to visit you Mika." she said and I looked around to try and find them because I knew I would recognize them. I found some in the corner of the room and pointed them out to Emily who beamed.

"So how many?" asked the waitress and Emily held up three fingers. "Right this way" she said leading us to a table in the back of the restaurant.

*****
Hey it's Mikaela! Sorry this was so short. I'm writing this late at night and on my phone and I'm busy. I promise next Sunday it will be longer and not as boring. I literally had nothing to write because this is only the beginning :)
