20 minutes have passed, yet I have not awaken from my dream. I am beginning to worry incase this isn't just a dream, maybe it's reality. My body vibrates at the thought of this being my life. My fate. My forever.
The lifeless figure has not moved one bit in this amount of time. I need to man up and find out what it is. I can't just sit around and worry about my life. Maybe they will have the answer. If it can speak my language.
I slowly crawl over to the figure with caution. I can't actually see it, but I can sense that it is there. Just as I reached the corner in which the figure lay, a random light flashes above me, but went away as quickly as it came. I saw what I was. It was a girl. I heard a voice.
Teresa.
Teresa? That name leaves a mark in my memory, yet it is the middle of a large hole. But who is speaking?
Teresa.
There it is again. What is happening to me? Am I going mad?
Everything is going to change, Aura.
My head is thudding, I feel a presence inside me. I place my hands up to my head. I just want to run away.
WICKED is good.
The voice fades, as I scream at the top of my lungs, tearing my throat to pieces. Get me out of this nightmare! I thump the metal wall a few times
'Let me out! Let me out!' I yell. I can't cope with much more of this. I am going absolutely mental. Why is this happening to me.
As if on queue, a split opens in the roof, and a party full of light invites itself in. I shut my eyes, the sun is burning them. I look down and open them. The girl is still lying there, breathing peacefully. She must be in a deep sleep. I don't really know why, but I feel a connection to her, yet I feel so far from it.
A figure jumps down into the lift. I look up to see a boy with dirty blonde hair and striking brown eyes examining both me and the other girl.
'What is it, Newt?' A voice called.
He looks as confused as I do, maybe even more. He looks between me and the other girl. Back, forth, back forth. He keeps opening his mouth to say something but nothing comes out. Like he was lost for words. Like he was lost in general. I put the poor boy out of misery and spoke up.
'Who are you? And what do you want from us?' I say barley audible, my voice shaking every word I say.
The boy rubbed his fingers through his hair and and looked around him. He looked almost worried.
'You're a girl.' He said, very low.
'And you're a boy.'
'And she's dead.'
Wait, what? The girl beside me... Is dead? I give the teenage boy a sturdy look.
'Get me out of this dream.'
'I can't.'
'Why not?'
'Because, it's not a dream. It's your reality. Welcome to the glade greenie.'
