My lovely daffodil,

How I long for your warmth

Every moment we spend apart

My heart grows heavy

I will always regret

The moment I left

Your face littered with tears

If I could only rewind time

I would hop off that train

And run to you

To bring back the smile

That filled my heart with butterflies

Perhaps it's because I am to return shortly,

But I remain anxiously waiting

For every letter you send

When I arrive, I hope you will be there

Waiting for me

I hope when I step off that train

You will bring me into your soft embrace

Until then, I will eagerly wait,

Your dearest, Cotton
