We we’re almost there when I heard Jamie let out a gasp. Kyle and I both looked about and were horrified at what we saw. One of the creatures was climbing down the vine after us. I slid further and further down the vine, using my arms to go faster.We were all out of breath and exhausted as the creature made its way closer and closer towards us.

I swung my backpack off of my back and rummaged through it, desperate to find anything to help us. I jerked me hand out when it was sliced by a bladed. I suddenly had an idea. I pulled out the blade.

“What are you doing!?” Jamie screamed up at me.

I looked down at him.

“saving us” I said softly before cutting the vine.

I hit the surface of the water with shock. My lungs burned as they were filled with water, gasping for air. I pushed through the water, trying to find the surface. I couldn’t tell up from down as my lungs were screaming at me for air. My head spun, my lungs burned I couldn’t think straight. I thrashed my arms around desperately trying to float to the surface.

My body became limp as I sunk. I felt a pair of large hands hook under my shoulders and pull me. I gasped for air as I was pulled to the surface. I breathed it in as if it would disappear, I feared it would.

Ugh my head hurt. I opened my eyes and saw a pair of piercing blue eyes staying back and me. He smirked at me.

‘Not the smartest thing you’ve done all day I’m hoping.’

My mind fogged over and then I was enveloped into darkness.

I opened my eyes groggily.

‘AHHHH’ I screamed.

A guy was leaned up against a tree sharpening a bit of wood less than a meter away from me.

‘Who the hell are you!?’ I demanded

He looked up from what he was doing and smirked. I looked into his eyes. Nope, not blue.

‘Well well well you finally woke up’

‘You didn’t answer my question.’ I snapped back.

‘I’m not allowed to say a thing, sorry!’

‘Fine then, bye.’ I mumbled, getting up.

His eyes suddenly widened in alarm and he scrambled up from the tree, dropping the wood.

‘no no no no no you can’t leave!’

‘and why the hell not? You don’t own me’ I snapped, getting up and walking away from him. Ugh he was so annoying! And I’d only been talking to him for a few minutes.

‘yeah well Blake says you can’t leave.’ He yelled after me dumbly.

I turned to face him and smirked.

‘I don’t know who the hell this "Blake" guy is he sure as hell doesn’t tell me wha-‘

I was abruptly interrupted by a fake cough behind me. I turned around and guess was in front of me. yup the oh so heroic guy with the blue eyes. great

i'm so sorry guys! it's been months and months since iv'e uploaded a chapter and i'm ashamed to even call this a chapter because it's so short but i promise that i'll try to upload at least once a week!
