Chapter 2~The Best Friend

(Jianne POV)

*at school*

"Jianne! I've missed you!" she's my only friend here in school, her name is Elise.

"We're together yesterday all day and now you miss me already? Haha." She's silly but I love her.

"It's because you're my only true friend here, and I want to be with you always Jianne." She said.

Yeah, what she said was right.

She was popular in school, but all the girls hate her and I'm her only friend.

When I'm not around, those insecure girls tend to bully her. I think it's because Elise was very pretty and a lot of guys admire her. Not only that, she was very nice and jolly as well. That's why many girls are envious of her.

She has been my bestfriend since high school because since then we were classmates and really close. Whenever I have problems, be it personal or not, she's always there to help me.

"Don't worry Elise, I won't let those girls bully you. I'll protect you. I'm your super best friend, remember?" I assured her.

"Thank you bestie, that's why I love you. ^^ "

"Me too. :)" I answered. And we hugged.

I am very lucky to have her as my best friend. Just like my grandmother, Elise is one of the important people in my life.

*after class*

"Hey wanna go to lunch?" Elise said.

"You know I can't. I have work. Wanna come again? You can have your lunch there." I asked her, because I know she would agree.

She has a crush on our guitarist who performs in our café.

"I would love to. :)" she said excitedly.

"I know you would want to see him again. :)" I insisted.

"Ssshh. Don't be so loud. They might hear you. But anyway, how about that guy you told me? What's his name again? Kao??" she asked.

"Puahahahaha. It's Kai. K-A-I" I spelled it out. "But his real name is Karl." I smiled as my cheeks blush.

"Yeah that guy. Did he notice you already?" she asked.

"No, sadly he still didn't notice me. I think I don't have a chance on him. His girls are all like models and I'm just a café waitress. And one more thing, I don't think he will be serious when it comes to relationships. And I don't like that. I don't want to be hurt." I said.

"You can't judge him like that. Maybe he has a reason for doing that. Don't worry, bestie. I'll help you make yourself better so he could notice you. I promise." She told me.

"Really??" I said.

"Yes, best friend. But can you promise me you'll help me with Charles? ;)" Elise requested.

"Haha, fine then. You sure have a lot of plan in your mind huh?" me.

"Yeah, so let's go?" her.

"Let's go." me.

Then, we walked our way to the coffee shop where I work.
