Chapter 7~Star Kingdom

(Jianne POV)

It has been one month since Karl and I started pretending to be lovers. As time passes, I’m starting to be attached to him even more. His sweetness gives me shivers all over my body. His gentleness makes my heart flutter.

Who would have thought that a cruel, playboy would turn into such a sweet charming guy? I just wanna bang my head into the wall so that I can wake up in reality. I’m falling deeper in the hole which I, myself had made. I’m falling for him even more. Sometimes, I forget that we were only doing this for his brother. It hurts me to accept the truth. But, I’ll just enjoy this opportunity while it’s still there. I’ll forget about him eventually. Maybe.

   There was this event that my boss had prepared for his crew and also for us to unwind and relax. We will be going into a business trip! We’ll go out on a group date of 6 people. This will be held on April 28, the day before my birthday. We are 6 people in the café, our boss, his partner in the business which is the pastry cook, 3 waitresses, and of course Charles the guitarist. Out of the 3 waitresses, only I will be able to join our business trip. Therefore, only four people will be going, and so my boss and his partner decided to give out the 2 slots to some of our regular customers.

                Who else would be chosen?

You guessed it right. My best friend, Elise. I’m sure she’ll be very happy because Charles will be going also. And of course, the guy who comes to buy frappucinno everyday will be coming too, I have to tell him this so he could prepare early.

                I dialed his phone number.

*dialing*

He picked up.

“Hello Karl? You are chosen as one of our regular customers who can join our business trip.” I said excitedly.

“Really? When will it be?” he asked me.

“28th of April. We will be going to Star Kingdom.” I told him.

“Star Kingdom? Isn’t it an amusement park?” he questioned.

“Yes. Why?” me.

“It’s very childish. Hahaha.” I can hear his loud laugh through the phone.

“No way, I think it’s gonna be fun! But if you don’t want to go, I’ll just tell my boss that—”

“NO! I’ll go. I’ll go.” he said disappointment in his tone.

“Okay. Hang up.” me.

“Bye, babe.” he said cutely.

I still feel chills whenever he calls me words of endearment like ‘babe’. Argh. But, I like it. :)

(Karl POV)

It’s the day she has been waiting for. There were six of us who went to the amusement park. The two owners of the café, I think they’re childhood friends turned into business partners, but then I can smell something more with the way they treat each other. The other two were, the guitarist, I forgot his name, and Jianne’s best friend, Elise. It felt like a triple date, not a business trip.

“Star Kingdom, here we come!! Weeee!” she shouted like crazy.

You know who she is. I wouldn’t have come here but because of her I have no choice, I have to watch over this girl. I want to always protect her, and I don’t like other guys talking to her. I only want her mine, and mine alone.
