It was a awkward drive home and Valentina was staring at her phone through out the journey. Liv never noticed of course, as she'd be concentrating on the road. After a good 10 minutes or so, Liv pulled out into Valentina's drive way. Val said goodbye and headed inside, Benjamin waiting for her by the door.
"Where is Liv?"
He was holding a Daisy, his hair spiked up "perfectly". He was also wearing his new shirt his mother bought from her business trip and his yellow coloured chinos.
"Going home.."
It was clear that Valentina was not in the mood for messing around. She'd toss her bag on the floor and kicking her shoes off before heading upstairs without talking to anyone. She didn't know herself why she was moody, she just felt as if something really bugged her. Was it Harrison? Or was it Jett? She was clueless. She'd throw herself onto the bed, removing the hair tie from her hair. As she'd begin to drift off to sleep, she'd hear her phone vibrate against the bed covers. Rolling her eyes, she'd look at the message she has received.
"Hey, you busy this weekend?"
It was Matt, her classmate. They're pretty close and do tend to hang around Starbucks for a coconut Frappe, Val's favourite. Valentina would tap on the screen, replying to the message.
"I don't think so, why?"
"The concert we were talking about is this weekend!"
"THIS weekend!?"
"Yes.."
"You said next weekend, Matt."
The message was sent, but there was no reply.
"His phone died again.."
She'd groan with frustration. She'd turn onto her back, staring at the ceiling with a blank expression. Deep in thought, Valentina would hear her brother shouting up the stairs.
"Vallie! Dinner!"
"I told you not to call me fucking Vallie!"
The tone in her voice would be frightening, Benjamin letting out a small cry.
"What's going on?"
Her dad would walk up the stairs, opening Valentina's bedroom door. He'd cross his arms, staring at Val with enragement.
"Valentina, how dare you."
"What?"
She'd roll her eyes with attitude, looking away as she'd bite the corner of her lower lip.
"Give me attitude again, all your electronics will be confiscated"
"Dad, what the fuck?"
Her father would have a face full of shock. Valentina was never like this, she'd never swear at her own father. He'd approach Valentina, raising his hand before slapping her on the cheek. Val's eyes widening as they'd tear up quickly.
"What the hell has got into you, Valentina?"
Valentina would look away with disappointment, wiping her eyes as tears would run down her red cheek.
"Valentina answer me!"
He'd be angry at this, giving up eventually as he'd roll his eyes before storming out.Valentina would look out the window, rethinking her actions. I deserved that..What the fuck was I thinking? Valentina would cry, it was loud enough for her dad to hear. She felt awful after what she has said to Benjamin, wanting to apologise..
4 days later..
It was 4 days later and Benjamin still hasn't forgiven her, Val feeling twice as bad as she did that evening. She was sitting at the bus stop as Liv wasn't present at school today for some reason. Val saw a figure walking up to her, placing itself beside her.
"You didn't call me.."
She recognised the tone of his voice, but it had a hint of frustration in it.
"Sorry Jett, I was going through some..complications."
"Give me a legit reason why I should forgive you."
"I-er.."
"Whatever."
There was a awkward silence for a moment, Valentina looking away biting her lower lip nervously.
"You busy tomorrow?"
"I'm going out..with a friend."
"Is this friend a boy?"
"Yes, why?"
"Hm.."
"What?"
"I- never mind."
Her bus arrived 5 minutes late, people rushing off the bus. Valentina payed for a ticket, followed by Jett who sat next to her on the bus.
"Why are you on the bus?"
"To talk to you."
"Yeah, but why?"
"Because I want see your beautiful face."
He'd give her a flirtatious smirk, Valentina smiling awkwardly as he'd caress her cheek softly. She'd be slightly shocked at this, his eyes interlocking with hers.
"Jett.."
"Val."
"I-i.."
"Sh.."
Jett would bite his lip, leaning in closer towards her face. He'd whisper with a seductive tone to his voice, goose bumps would appear on Valentina's arms as his voice would be so calming.
"Meet me at the park tomorrow, around ten-ish."
"Sure."
Whilst she'd be saying this, Jett would run his fingers down the side of her stomach as he'd watch himself do this.
"You have a beautiful bod-"
The bus would come to a halt, people standing up and leaving the bus. Leaving them two and some elders at the front. Jett and Val would be positioned near enough at the back, where there was four seats facing each other. Jett would exhale loudly, slowly placing his arm behind Val. She'd look at him closely, studying his facial features carefully. He'd notice her doing this, the corner of his mouth raising.
"You're staring at me, Val?"
"No, I was just checking if you had anything on your cheek."
"Of course."
After another 10 minutes, the bus would arrive at the bus stop near her Valentina's house. They'd both get off, looking at each other for a solid 5 seconds.
"I'll walk you home.."
"Sure, I'd like that."
Jett would wrap his arm around Valentina, he'd be slightly taller than Valentina meaning he could rest his arm on her shoulder easily. As they'd approach Val's house, she'd use her keys to unlock the door. Jett would look down at her, pressing his lips together tightly as he'd clench his tattooed fists.
"Goodnight Valentina."
"Goodnight Jett."
Jett would slowly lean closer towards Valentina, tensing his jaw as she'd reach up towards him. Their lips would touch, Valentina pouting slightly as she'd allow Jett to do this. Jett would slowly slide his tongue into her mouth, Val doing the same. Jett would gently push her into the house, shutting the door behind him.
