chapter 5

We all sat quietly at the dinner table eating. I could feel someone's eyes staring at the the back of my head. It was probably Mikoto's youngest son. I ignored him not wanting to deal with him right now. I was observing each of evryone. Mikoto was smiling and eating. The man who I assumed was Mikoto husband had a blank face and was absently eating his food.

But I could tell by the look in his eyes that he was thinking about something. Itachi was eating like his father but instead he was also observing everyone. Naruto was eating quietly, trying not to make a mess. As for Itachi's brother I couldn't tell because Itachi was blocking my view.

We all finished around the same time and we were sitting there quietly. Okay Mikoto said clapping her hand together. Sasuke can you go get ready for bed and Itachi can you go help him Mikoto asked. Hm Itachi said. Sasuke just got up and ran to his room. Now you two follow me and I'll show you two to our guest room Mikoto said. Getting up we followed her and we were standing in front of a door.

You two are fine sharing a room right Mikoto asked. Yeah thank you Mikoto-san we replied together. She left back to her room and we entered ours. It was a real plain room. The walls were blue and all it had was a bed in the right side of the room. Guess it's time to hit the hay goodnight nee-chan Naruto said crawling in the bed. Night Naru-chan I said. I sat down on the bed just staring into the darkness. I was like that for about 10 minutes when the door opened.

Oh your still awake Katsumi-chan Mikoto said. Yeah I couldn't sleep and I wanted to talk to you about something I said getting off the bed. What is it you want to talk to me about me she asked. Lets go talk in the living room I don't want to wake up Naruto I said. Nodding we walked back to the living where Mikoto husband was still there.

Oh Katsumi-chan I never introuduce you to my husband. This is Fugaku Uchiha head of the Uchiha clan Mikoto said. Nice to meet you I said.  Nice to meet you to Fugaku said. Now Katsumi-chan what did you want to talk about Mikoto asked. When you met me you called me Kushina, who is she to you. Mikoto and Fugaku eyes widen, surprised at the question I asked before their eyes soften.

She was a very close friend to me and Fugaku Mikoto said her face looked peaceful like she was recalling precious memories. Fugaku had the same look and he was smiling. They were friends with my mom.  Did you know Minato Namikaze I asked. He was one of my closest friends Fugaku said. You were really close to my parents weren't you I said smiling.

Oh my, I knew you were her daughter Mikoto said engulfing me in a hug, crying. You look just like your mom, the only difference is that you have short bangs while you moms were long and Naruto looks just your like dad Fugaku said also hugging us. Mikoto broke from the hug and looked me straight in the eye. Do you know why the villagers treat you and Naruto a certain way Mikoto asked. Yeah I know, Naruto is the only one who doesn't I said.

I'm so sorry we couldn't be there for you two I'm so sorry Mikoto said breaking down crying. Its okay I'm just glad I met someone who knows my parents I said. Know that we know are home is your home Fugaku said giving me a key to the house. Thank Fugaku-san, Mikoto-san I said. Call us uncle and aunt you and Naruto are family now Mikoto said. "Yes Fugaku oji-chan, Mikoto oba-chan".

Oji-chan, oba-chan please don't tell anyone who are parents are when the time is right the whole village will know I said. Fine now get to bed it's getting late Fugaku said smiling. Nodding I got up and went back to Naruto's and mine room. We have people who care about us Naruto were no longer alone I thought before drifting off to sleep.

~~~ Time Skip next morning ~~~

I woke up the next morning refreshed. I stretche before wakeing Naruto up and together we head to the living room. Mikoto oba-chan was in there drinking tea. Good morning you two she said. "Good morning Mikoto oba-chan/san me and Naruto said. Naruto you can call me oba-chan I'm basically yours and Katsumi aunt she said.

Oba-chan Naruto screamed giving Mikoto a hug. Thank you Mikoto for letting us stay the night but we should really go I said. Do you have to leave so early she asked. Yeah but don't worry we'll vist I said. Me and Naruto walked out the house and back to ours. Naruto we have family I said looking at him. Yeah family he said smiling.

~~~ Time Skip 2 years ~~~

Naruto wake up I said shacking him. 5 more minutes nee-chan Naruto said burying his head in the pillow. Naruto get up your going to be late for the academy I said. Who cares he mumbled. Get up or no ramen for a week I said. No please don't take away my ramen I'm up please Naruto screamed.

I was just kidding know go get dress your going to be late for the academy again I said sighing. Naruto put on a black t-shirt, a sleeveless orange hoddie and shorts. Bye nee-chan he screamed before running out the door. Sighing I grabbed the things I needed for training today and headed out the door. Naruto was 6 years old already and I'm already 7, the time sure has gone by.

~~~ Time Skip 1 year Naruto POV

I was sitting on the bed waiting for nee-chan to get home. I just finish getting home from the academy and nee-chan was suppose to be getting home today. Lately nee-chan has been training for days without coming home. The longest she has ever been gone was a week. "Naru-chan I'm home".

Nee-chan I screamed jumping of the bed and giving her a hug. Hey Naruto how have you been she asked. Good I screamed. Hey Naruto I know I just got home and I won't be training for two weeks she said. Really yay now can you help me with my training I asked. Yeah but only for those two weeks after a those two weeks I'm gonna be gone for a few months she said.

Why nee-chan I asked my voice cracking. Naruto some things came up and I'll have to leave but don't worry I'll write to you and at least I'll be home for your 7th birthday she said making a sad smile. Nee-chan please don't go I need you I screamed hugging her tightly, tears streaming down my cheeks. I don't want to leave either but I have to Naru she said her voice cracking. Nee-chan I love you I said still sobbing. I love you to Naru she said.
