*Before we get started, I wanted to let you guys know that I have picked a girl to play Savannah Hendrix - and that would be Katie Smith from the X-Factor. Look her up!x*

Sunday morning after breakfast, Niall threw on a pair of clothes that surely didn't match, and made his way out the door without evening waking his parents to tell them where he was going. They probably already knew.

He walked down the block, to Liam's, through the falling snow and harsh winds. His sweater and jeans weren't enough to keep him warm. His hair, a messy tangle that he didn't bother to comb, whipped around his wind-beaten face. His skin was turning numb, and his whole body had that painful tingly feeling that you get when out in the cold too long. But, as he got closer and closer to the house, it didn't bother him as much.

He pressed a slender finger to the doorbell, and shoved his hand back in his pocket. His teeth chattered, his hair was covered in snow. Liam should be opening the door any second now - he was the one who had told Niall to come over, after all. He hadn't said why, and that made Niall inexplicably nervous. He briefly wondered if somehow he knew of what had happened with Mitch.

The look on Liam's face when he opened the door, however, told him otherwise.

Liam grinned happily at the younger boy, "Hey, Niall. Come on in."

Niall stepped into the foyer, and Liam shut the door behind him. He clucked his tongue, "Why are you outside without a jacket?"

Niall rolled his eyes, "Sorry, mum."

Though Niall tried to appear sarcastic, his teeth were still clicking together, which had caused him to stutter. Liam sensed this, as it would be hard not to, and wrapped his arms around his cousin - promptly guiding him towards the den.

Once there, Niall took a spot on the couch - wrapping his skinny arms around his torso. Liam flicked on the fireplace, the flames flickering to life in mere seconds, and took a seat beside his cousin.

He sighed, "How have you been, Ni?"

Niall looked at him, confused. He quirked an eyebrow. "Me? I'm fine...why?"

"I don't know," Liam shrugged his shoulders, and Niall's eyes narrowed a twinge. Did he know something? "You're just giving off all the wrong vibes..."

Niall cackled, "Have you been getting high? Vibes, Li?"

Liam's lips curved into a slight smile, but it was gone the second Niall had seen it. He frowned, "I'm serious, Niall. You don't seem as...I don't know...happy, as you used to be. You're spending quite the deal of time with Mitch, too."

Niall shuddered at the name. "Because he's my boyfriend, maybe?"

"That's not what I mean. I'm just giving you some important advice - if you dedicate all your time to your boyfriend, your friends are going to think you don't care about them."

"Liam," Niall started, a warning tone in his voice. "If this is going to turn into you insulting Mitch for the next few hours, I don't want to hear it."

Liam raised his hands, "Hey, if that's what you want to make of it, fine. But think about Savannah - your best mate? What's she going to think if you deny spending time with her because you're always doing stuff with Mitch?"

"Liam-,"

"Niall, I'm just trying to give you some advice. Relationships aren't what they used to be, you know. You have to be careful."

Niall slowly rose to his feet, "What are you trying to accuse him of?"

The cold on his skin may have been seeping in, running through his veins. Maybe Niall was being too defensive. After all, he didn't want Liam to be right about Mitch. Whether Liam wanted to believe it or not, Niall still thought Mitch was a good -okay?- boyfriend.
