Heather woke up to silence.
Pure, beautiful silence.
She sat up and winced, pain shot in her stomach. She wasn't used to the pain, it came unexpected, and it hurt a lot. Daisy came in, and went to the machine hooked up next to her. Heather looked down at her arm, a big needle was poked into it. "Wha-" Heather began, Daisy smiled, "kids always get a shock when they see an IV" she told her. Heather looked down at the IV, she could feel the liquid going into her arm, it felt..cool. All of a sudden, her mother walked into the room, carrying a steaming cup of coffee. "Ugh this is awful" she said taking a sip, she made a face as she took another gulp. "Ugh" she said shuddering, Daisy raised her eyebrow. "This is a hospital...We take care of the sick, not make five star coffee" she exclaimed. Heathers mother laughed, Heather rolled her eyes, "adults and their coffee!" She thought, Heathers mother handed her the gift bag from before. "For me?" Heather asked, she nodded and smiled. Heather found the card and opened it, inside it said "hope you get better! Love mom." She smiled and reached into the bag, she pulled out a book. "Harry potter and the Goblet of fire" it said on the title. Heather grinned, "thanks mom!" She said as she hugged her mother. She opened the book and began to read, unaware that her mother had left the room complaining about the "awful coffee."
