Chapter 2 The Unexpected Scholarship

Melody's P.O.V

As usual school was normal. I got high scores once more on my tests. I wanted to show it to Scott, but before I could a flock of girls flooded over him. I overheard one of them saying Wow Scott, you got an awesome score. I hope you could beat Ms. Nerd next time. I knew she was referring it to me, but I just ignored it. Then Scott smirked and said Don't tell me you wanna be dead right now addressing it to the girl. He then continued saying Don't tease Melody and if you do I'll kill you. The girl nodded and quickly went back to her seat. He then glanced at me and smiled. I looked away. I wasn't going to fall for that trick. Every girl falls for that trick. I then looked at my scores and I grew bored watching it. It was always 100%. I then wished something new would happen to me other than high scores, students ignoring me, and girls bullying me.

As if on time the principal himself came inside our classroom. He then said I'm sorry if I'm interuppting, but I have some very important news to announce. Everyone looked at the principal as he was about to speak. He then continued As you all know our top 2 honours are none other than Ms. Melody Crescent and Mr. Scott Anderson. We both stood up. The principal continued I have very good news to tell you two. It is about
the prestigious school called Princeton Academy. My eyes widened and I could tell Scott was too because when I looked at him he almost fainted. We both knew that Princeton Academy was the most prestigious schools and it was full of students who have high academics. The principal then said Well the academy was closely watching you all this time, and I'm proud to announce that both of you will get free scholarship to go to Princeton Academy. Your transfer will start tomorrow

Scott's P.O.V

I was so shocked when me and Melody will be going to Princeton Academy. When I saw Melody, I couldn't help but smile at her since she was so shocked, she could barely speak. The principal bowed and left saying that's all. I couldn't react to what just happened and neither could Melody. We both sat down without saying anything. A few minutes later, we continued to work on our studies. When the teacher told us that we have some free time. I ignored the girls trying to flock to me and went to Melody's seat. As usual I could see her daydreaming. I then tapped her shoulder and said Hey Melody Mind if I talk to you? She rolled her eyes, but I just sat next to her. Melody was the only girl who never really liked me. That's why I want to be friends with her even though she would always ignore me. She then said So what is it you want to talk about?

She looked at me and somehow it made my heart pound. I never really felt that way before when I'm near her. I then said W-well about the scholarship. I stopped since I was blushing a little on my cheeks. I guess Melody must have noticed since she was laughing a little. She then said I can't believe you are blushing right now. Don't tell me you are scared to tell me about the scholarship. She started to laugh only I could hear. I then smiled when I saw her laughed for the first time in front of me. I then said Alright let's stop the chit chat and let's get to the serious news.
Melody's laugh quickly went down.

I then said now that I am going to my dream school. Before I was about say something. She quickly interuppted me and said Excuse me but I'm also going as well. Don't always think about yourself. I then smiled and said I was just joking, anyway we better do our best. Rumor has it that in the school are Top Ten Royals. Before I continued, she did it for me. She said I heard that they are the students who are known for being the smartest, being the captain in varsity teams, and being popular in beauty and for their parents since the parents are famous or something. I'm suprised she knows about this. I didn't notice she was the type to talk about something informative. She must have noticed my look and said I'm not that interested okay? So please stop staring at me. I quickly looked away and said Well I think that's all since it's almost time for the next class anyway I better go back to my seat. She quickly grew bored and said oh alright. I quickly went back to my seat. I can't believe she wanted to talk with me more. I then smiled a bit as the next class started.
