Chapter 1-Jayden Miller's POV

I am very annoyed. That girl/psycho woman/mad woman could've killed me!

I was just at the gym if you were wondering, lifting weights and minding my own business.

I suddenly heard a shout, it hurt my eardrums! It sounded like someone being tortured, being ripped apart by his or her true identity.

Then I saw her, she was covered in blood from head to toe. I'd say it's beautiful; the picture in front of me was somewhat beautiful, because there's something beautiful about blood, like poison, in a picture.

"My master tells me to kill you all." She says with a voice that was clearly not hers.

"NO! You can't kill innocent people!" she says to herself, she was arguing with herself, I realized. She was probably controlled or possessed by a monster or a demon.

"I can't kill yes, but you can kill for me, my avenger, you must do this for me!" she answered back to herself. She suddenly thrashed and writhed and then her eyes turned blood red.

"I must kill for my master she'll give me rewards beyond measure!" she said while licking her lips, thinking about her reward.

Then before any of the people could blink, she leaped, faster than lightning. She looked at me, and that was when I knew, I immediately knew it, I'm her target. She leaped at me, her arms outstretched, and I could see that she had very sharp nails that could turn me into a Jayden-shish kebab. I wanted to tell her that I wouldn't taste very good, but I knew better because she wouldn't listen.

I sidestepped and kicked her in the stomach. She snarled, showing rows of white, flashing teeth that would've been beautiful once upon a time, but now were poorly brushed, I could tell.

She tried to rip my head off, but I immediately moved away I was getting tired and I knew I was losing energy, anytime I could fall already.

Then an idea came to my mind came to my mind with a dull "POP!", and then it was gone. Why hadn't I thought of it sooner?

I started to run, run so fast, my hair was flying in the wind; everything became a blur all around me. I heard screams and mentally face-palmed myself. How could I forget about my fellow gym mates? Too late now, I thought, then heard footsteps behind me, closing in on me as I neared my destination, my house.

I had built a lot of traps for monsters. Hey! Don't judge! You'll never know if you ever stumble upon a monster, but just in case, you should always be ready.

I stopped near my trap and turned around to face her and it was a good thing that she was a few yards away from me. I had enough time to activate the trap.

I ran to the door, got inside and made sure that it was bolted and locked. I ran to my electric and equipment room. I pushed the buttons so fast, I was sure someone was helping me; I looked outside and saw my trap getting activated, my house being closed all around me with steel. I sighed with relief, I was safe!

My parents came rushing in, running to me and asking if I was alright. Oh! And by the way, my parents names' are: James Miller, my dad, while my mum's name is Camille Miller. Well, her maiden name is Belle. I told them I was absolutely fine. I still had all my limbs.

"Are there more monsters?" my dad anxiously asked. I shook my head.

"What does she look like?", my mum asked. "She was wearing a plain, white dress that reached her knees and was covered with blood from head to toe." I said to her.

I looked outside at the forest and saw that the trap was still there. The monster wasn't hanging from the trap! It should be hanging there! I faced my parents, looking scared and pale.
I felt the waves of terror and hate for that monster. They immediately knew something was wrong, they can read me like an open book. They looked at out at the forest and just stood there, standing so still like statues yet very pale in the morning light.

The mystery wasn't over.
