Chapter 2- Alyssa Green's POV

I hate her! Killing innocent people is not really my thing.

She forced me to do it, lured me with her bait, which was rewards for my whole life.

I still didn't want to kill people so she told me if I didn't do it, the whole world was at stake. I knew that was true, she would destroy the world.

Poor mother earth, I sighed, already being slowly destroyed, now was going to be destroyed earlier than the said day.
Wait, when was the said day anyway?

If I had just killed that guy, then it would be over by now, but NOOOO! He just had to run to his house and activate his trap.

Stupid boy, I thought, I already knew the trap but still followed him so that he thought I would fall for his trap. I hid on the side of the house so that i was hidden by the shadows.

A few seconds later,I saw the trap, it was huge, made out of gold and steel. Then his house also started to have protection, made out of steel.

This guy is rich, I snorted, of course he's rich, that's why he can have protection.

I flew up to where she was, the Master, my Master, to be specific. My enemy, yet she also has power over me.

I wanted nothing more than to slap that smug look off her face, but knew better than that, so I did the opposite, I bowed.

She spoke to me in my mind, a soft, alluring voice that told me to calm down.

Rise, she said, and I rose. She looked beautiful, well that was unfair, since she could look however she pleased.

Did you kill him?, she demanded, looking quite angry, might I say so. She already knew the answer, so I didn't give her one.  She yanked my long hair and asked again, this time softer, more calm and collected.

I didn't give her the satisfaction of knowing that it hurt, I hoped I had my poker face on, that would've pissed her out even more.

But before I could let things get out of control, I said, No , I didn't get to kill him, he ran to his house and activated his trap, so I left, and now, here I am. Oh! and he kicked me here, I said, pointing towards my stomach.

She flew out of sight and came back holding a-  What's that?, I asked. This is a balm, she said. What? A bomb? Are you out of your mind?! Do you want to kill me?, I asked her. It's a healing balm, she said, now apply it on your wound. We are wasting time!

Jeez, woman, don't have to care for me too much, I thought. I applied it on my wound and sighed. My stomach was already feeling better. What can I say? I'm a very fast healer.

In one week's time you will hunt him down and kill him. If you don't, then say goodbye to your family and the world. This is your last chance, she stated, then disappeared.

I closed my eyes and immediately drifted, feeling exhaustion take over me. I was nearing the Land of Dreams....

I was in an unknown land and when I looked down, I saw monsters killing people. Killing machines, I thought, were helpful if you want all the people dead.

Then I saw my family, huddled against a small hut, screaming for help, but this is war, you're on your own. A winged demon flew toward them, her back facing me. I knew it was a girl because she had long hair. She faced me and I stifled the urge to gasp, it was me!

I was going to kill my own family? I thought. I/the demon slashed her talons at them.

I flew so fast,I didn't know what was happening all around me. I flew to a stop and ripped her to pieces. It felt like I was being ripped into pieces. I felt her pain and grief. The agony and pain was terrible and I fell back.

My body hit the ground with a 'thud'. My family surrounded me then stated to ask questions all at the same time. Seriously, I save them and this is what I get? They're making my headache even worse.

I stood up, feeling dizzy as if I just put my head in the water and came up immediately.
That's how I felt.

My parents hugged me then started to drift away, slowly disappearing before my eyes. I ran towards them, but they dissipated faster instead.
Before I awoke, a deep voice resonated around the valley, filling me with dread, saying,"You have one more chance to prove your worth, Alyssa!", then with that the voice was gone.

I woke up with my forehead beaded with sweat, gasping and sputtering, as I wondered," Who the hell could that be?" and, "What does he want from me?"
