*Shaelyn's POV*

     Why, why , why, why, why? Why me? I asked myself as I was pushed up against the locker, the metal striking a sharp pain down my spine. The painfully beautiful boy stared directly into my scared blue eyes. His eyes turned cold as he brought his fist down into my stomach, making me groan and drop to the floor. I curled into a ball while the rest of them took their kicks and punches at me.

    Nobody even cares, they just stare at me lying on the floor while whispering to their friends about me. It's because they're scared, scared that the same thing is going to happen to them if they stand up for me. Not that anyone actually wants to stand up for me. I mean, c'mon. I'm worthless. I'm nothing. Which is why every night I lock myself in the bathroom trying to ease the pain. My mom, she sees the scars and the new slashes on my wrists. The thing is, she doesn't care. All she cares about are drugs, alcohol and the men she sleeps around with.  But, who am I to judge? I take all the harshest drugs I can get. Not because I like them. It's because I want to forget. I want to forget about the world for just a few hours. After those few hours in heaven are gone, everything comes back. So then I hurt myself all over again until my body can't take it anymore and I go numb.

      I pick my sorry ass up off the floor and headed to my lunch period. The boy with the dark green eyes shoved past me and whispered, "I'm still not done with you for today, meet me behind the school after school and if I don't see you there, I'll make sure to break a god damn bone on that worthless body tomorrow."
