"Are you sure he won't be home?" Monica asks quickly.

"Positive. He is at work." Margo responds.

They approach Liam's apartment door and notice the space key is gone.

"Well you can't knock down the door, we better go."

"Oh hush up, it's like you don't even know me." Margo responds, bending down to face the lock.

"I met you yesterday."

"Whatever. How To Break Into Your Ex's House by Margo." She says, eyeing the keyhole. She feels around in her hair for a second and pulls out two bobby pins. She bends them straight then carefully slips them into the keyhole, one on top of the other.

She feels around, pushing the tumblers up one by one. When Margo gets to the last one and pushes the door open, Monica ,eats go of a breath she didn't realize she was holding.

"Get your stuff, I'll stay here." Margo says, allowing Monica to slip past her into the familiar apartment.

She closes the door and waits. Eventually, her hip and arm push against the wall. She slouches against the wall, trying not to let her eyes wander the apartment. Monica comes back with a small shoulder bag. Margo's dark clothing and boots looks foreign on another body.

"Let's go." Margo says harshly and Monica walks faster.

"Coffee?" Margo inquires once they're far away from the apartment building. The wind sweeps the girls' hair off their shoulders. With the New York scent around them, Margo suddenly doesn't feel very lost.

Monica nods.

The smell of coffee floats over the filthy smell of the city. Margo strides ahead and opens the door, letting Monica go in first. Her bracelets clatter on the door frame as she slides in behind Monica.

"Hey look, it's Just Margo!" A familiar English accent sweeps over Margo. She snaps her head up and scans the coffee shop. Landing on a brown haired boy, she frowns.

Does she know him?

Suddenly, his face clicks and she remembers their conversation at the park yesterday. Her cherry lips push into a smile.

"Harry." She greets him, striding more confidently up to the counter with Monica behind her.

"How are you?" He asks her with a wide smile.

"Not the best." She chuckles and glances at Monica.

"Oh, that's too bad. Can I get you anything?" He asks in a "sorry-I-asked" tone.

"Monica?" Margo looks at the blonde girl beside her but Monica is too busy starring at Harry to realize she was spoken to.

"Right." She says, looking back at Harry and somewhat satisfied that he's only looking at Margo, "I'll just have the vanilla bean roast."

Monica snaps out of her daze to ask, "What do you recommend?"

"I'm not much of a coffee drinker." Harry admits, glancing back at Margo.

"Oh." Monica seems defeated. She looks at the chalk board menu on the wall and says, "Carmel roast, please."

Margo pulls out her wallet to pay, then the two girls go sit down by the window.

Margo watches the passerby's on the street while Monica watches the elegance with which Harry walks. She watches his long fingers tap at the screen on the cash register. She watches the rise and fall of his eyebrows while taking orders. She watches his long legs approach their table with a small tray.
