Ana left my house, about an hour ago. Now I'm just sitting alone in my room, working on last minute homework that I didn't care about until now.

"How the hell am I supposed to subtract twenty-four from that?" I asked myself. I grabbed my bag and took out my notebook, opening my notes. "Oh, I see. Stupid math." I mumbled.

The phone started to ring, when my Mom shouted from the first floor "I've got it."

Good, I wasn't going to get it anyways. I thought in a bitch tone.

Now, onto English. I pulled out the worksheet, that was simple, and started to work on the last few problems that I had left from class.

It took me about seven minutes to finish it and go over the notes, considering that we had a test in the next few days.

"Brinleigh, can you come downstairs for a minute?" My Dad knocked on the door. I sighed and got off my bed, walking downstairs.

"Yeah?" I asked, once I reached the last step.

My Mom said "Hun, can you go get me a Pepsi?"

"You dragged me down here, for that?" I questioned, irritated.

"Yes, now go." She shooed me, smiling wide, along with my father. I gave them a weird look but proceeded to walk to the kitchen.

I opened the refrigerator door, looking for a can of Pepsi. They were crammed all the way in the back, which meant I had to move some things around to get to it. Once I finally grabbed ahold one, I shut the door only to look up and drop the can in surprise.

"What are you doing here?" I asked. There stood Corey, nicely dressed, and holding a few flowers that were obviously picked from his garden.

"Well, um I wanted to take you out tonight." He told me.

I replied with "Corey, we're not together anymore, what do you not understand of that?"

"Look, I know I fucked up. I fucked up big time, but please hear me out. I'm so sorry for that, I know that I broke your heart and I hate to know that I did that that. I hate myself everyday for it. Brinleigh, I never lost feelings for you, I just thought I did. But I know now, that I want you in my life. I love you, Brin." I was in shock of what he just said.

"You love me too, right?" He questioned when I suddenly became quiet.

"I-I don't know Cor, we've only been dating a month and a half, and like I said were not even together-"

"-Please, just let me take you out, then you can decide." He begged.

"I-" "That's a yes!" My Mom interrupted from the living room, clearly eavesdropping.

"Mom! I didn't say anything!" I yelled to her.

"Anyways, I'm not sure." I pondered.

"Please?" He looked vulnerable.

I sighed. "I guess so."

"Great, go get dressed. Something casual but fancy, I'll be down here." He said, then ran off to the living room.

I hesitantly walked up the stairs, wondering as to why I agreed to go with him.

But hey, what's the worst that could happen?
