Jane and Jessie, with high school friends and unidentifiable family members at Paula's funeral as she gets interred next to her husband Bruce who was given a proper military funeral. Bruce was honored for his services during the Gulf War in 1995, but refused to go to Afghanistan to fight the war because he wanted to be with his family and watch his two daughters grow up. All of the students of Los Angeles High School and Jane's friends loved Paula because she was a very sweet woman, a loving mother and friend to everyone. She had impacted so many people's lives and left foot prints on the hearts of those she met. Those during the holidays who couldn't afford a Thanksgiving dinner or Christmas, she was there to provide it for them. Paula worked as a nurse for Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys for over 17 years, and enjoyed spending time with her daughters and husband. She was a dedicated parkour practitioner and had a passion for physical fitness, cooking, writing, and painting. She loved working as a Sunday School Teacher with children in the Children's Ministry of The Resurrection and the Life Episcopal Church and was very close to Father Malone. She is survived by daughters Jane Tod Richardson and Jessica "Jessie" Richardson and daughter-in-law Mary Vaughn.

"Paula was one of the most precious people in my church. She was indeed the light of Jane and Jessie's lives and they loved her very much. I, myself, have known Paula before her daughters were born and I consider them a part of my life. I know in my heart that she and her husband are safe with God. I will always love you, dear friend. You were like the sister I never had." - Father Malone

"You were more than my mother-in-law, you were my mother. My heart called you mom. Though you flew away to a Safer Place, you still remain in my heart. Nevermind me calling you Mrs. Richardson, I call you mom. I love you, mommy. I know you will always watch over me and Jane." - Mary

"I didn't lose a mother, I gained a guardian angel..." - Jane

"I love you, mommy... Please watch over me and Jane." - Jessie
