Shanda came running up the hill completely out of breath. "Zane, you run really quickly." Shanda looked at Zane's face. He seemed bewildered. "What's with the puzzled face? Is something wrong?"

" Are you hiding something from me?"

"What? No!" Shanda looked away.

"Enough! You're my girlfriend and I know you well. I can tell what you said was a lie. The sound of your voice. The way you tried to avoid eye contact. Tell me the truth! What did you do? Answer me!"

"I....I.....I killed your mother. And    your father by accident. I didn't mean to."

"You....you murdered my parents?!." Zane was shocked and backed away from Shanda "You told me they fell down the stairs when they were leaving the house and landed on broken glass."

"Let me..... let me explain. I was getting the food prepared and was holding a knife and I saw a bug on the wall. I decided to practice my archery skills without the bow and threw my knife at it. My archery skills are usually accurate....but I... I.. I missed and your parents....things happened. I didn't want to lose you."

Shanda walked up to Zane and tried to grab his arms. Zane out of anger shook off her hands.

Zane backed again while shaking his head

"You're insane and selfish! Truths always find a way to reveal themselves. Hiding it is pointless! ....Who are you? It's like I don't know you anymore. You are not usually like this. "

"Please Zane..."

"Go! I want to be alone!"

"Go! Now, before I tear you into pieces, myself ."

Shanda left Zane alone. Before she went down the hill, she turned back to see Zane's face, but all she saw was his back.
