Cry for Me

Cry for me
And of course you'll ask, why?

Well, I'm feeling sad
And somehow my tears are trapped
So, I'll tell you a story

And then you'll cry

A small girl
A small town

Happy home
Smiles reaching ears

And then,
Are you listening?

Good, good

She's in a car
And this must be cliché

But it crashes
And then the funerals come
And then the girls gone

A shadow of a human in her eyes
All emotions disappeared

She went to live
With her aunt
Lovely woman,

Then came her teenage years

Oh, those years

How they destroyed her
And you won't believe how broken she was

All those idiots not knowing
What they're saying

Sprouting words like water in a fountain
She got sick of it

All the words
Each one like
A knife twisting and twisting

Till they ruined her
She was ripped

She didn't speak
Or hear
Or smell
Or see

She became nothing
Not even space was as quiet as her

And she had a million words to say
That she didn't say

A million things to do
That she did not do

And silence was louder than any
Noise she heard

It made her deaf
One sense down

She got so bored
She started counting the seconds
Wondering how many till she dies

She wrote them on a notepad
And it was not easy

Time didn't stop for anyone

One day she was sick of bright lights
And happy smiles

They all seem so fake, you know?

She climbed to the top
The mountain top
And I have to say, it was very hard

With her arms stretched apart
And a grin

'I can fly!'

Then for one moment she flys
And it is all worth it

Then the funeral come
And the girl is gone

Quite literally

So, will you cry for me?
