A Public Excution

A man

Rope tied around his neck
Couldn't escape even if he tried

He looks old and tired
And careless and sad

And he's got nowhere to be
And life's not that great

So he raises his left hand
So everybody watching

Then the guard drops what he's holding
And the man takes his final breathe

And there are cheers
We killed a bad man

But it still doesn't feel as good as it should
We feel guilty
