After the short drive from the train station we pulled up outside Bee's house and i payed the taxi driver before stumbling out of the back seat. I grabbed all my bags and looked up to see Bee already at her front door waiting for me. Typical. I knew Bee wouldn't help me, she is as useful as a doormat but she was my best friend so i wasn't going to take this to heart. When i finally made it up to where Bee was waiting she knocked loudly on the door.
"Thanks for the help with the bags by the way Bee," i said sarcastically glaring at her.
"It was my pleasure," she replied with just as much sarcasm.
"I hate you"
"I know thats not true," she said smiling. I was about to reply when the door flew open and Margret (Bee's mum) engulfed me in a hug. This was a hugger family and by the end of this weekend i'd be sure to have a crushed rib. I was finally freed from the hug and wrapped into another pair of arms. I realised it was Steve's (Bee's dad) arms that i was now in.
"Enough with all the hugging mum and dad," Bee said grabbing my arm and yanking me into the kitchen. Margret followed us and went over to the kettle but she stopped midway when she heard the familiar tune on the radio. She instantly started dancing and i decided to join her.
Your insecure,
Dont know what for
Your turning heads when you walk throught the door,
Don't need make up,
To cover up,
Being the way that you are is enough,
Everyone else in the room can see it,
Everyone else but you
Baby you light up my world like nobody else,
The way that you fli-
"Oh god you two! What are you doing prancing around the kitchen like idiots for?" Bee scolded us both.
"It's One Direction on the radio Bee, come on join me and Lucy"
"Yeah i know who it is but no matter how much i love them, you won't see me acting like a complete idiot parading around the kitchen and why do you have to encourage her Lucy?" She gave me a questioning look like 'I'm not in the mood to be fucked about'. So i decided to give her my honest answer.
"Lighten up Bee, i was only having a little fun," I gave her my best smile and it seemed to do the trick she gave a sigh and stalked off into the lounge.
"She'll come around soon but anyway how have you been?" Margret turned her attention back to me.
"I've been good finally got the job of my dreams."
"I'm glad for you because i know how hard you've been training and working to get into the Oxford Dance School and i mean now look at you, you achieved that and you're getting your own flat. If only Bee could find a job instead of sitting on her arse all day or spending all her money on shopping." She sighed and leaned back against the counter. I felt abit sorry for her because Bee was spoilt rotten by both her parents but Bee never seemed to give anything back. I don't think she ment to be like that i just suppose she didn't really think about this sort of stuff.
"Im sure Bee will find a job soon or become famous with all her drama skills someday but i wouldn't want Bee any other way than she is now," Margret smiled and took a sip of her tea.
"Your right Lucy, i wouldn't want my daughter to be any other way either," i smiled and took my empty mug over to the sink. I looked back over to where Margret was standing she looked up at me and gave me a warm smile.
"Go and find Bee, make most of your day together"
"Thanks Margret and i'm sure we will make the most of our day," i replied heading out of the door.
"Oh and Lucy, thank you for being a great friend to Bee i don't know what she would be without you," She smiled gratefully and i knew she ment what she said.
"Thank you but without me she would still be your daughter," i watched as her mouth opened slightly and she let out a small laugh.
"Oh Lucy you always were a sweet girl, now go on run along and have fun," she made a motion with her hand that told me to go find Bee. I already knew she would just be lounging on the couch watching television as usual. I found in the exact place that i'd imagined her. I snickered to myself which caused her to turn around and glare at me.
"You took your time, we're wasting precious shopping time now come on lets go," she said jumping up and going over towards her shoes. I just laughed at her, when it came to shopping you didn't argue with Bee.
"Alright i coming woman keep your hair on!" she fake glared at me and strolled off into the kitchen. I got my shoes on and picked up my bag. I followed where Bee had gone into the kitchen and saw her sorting out her handbag. She gave her mum a quick hug and then yanked me out of the doorway.
"See you soon Margret," i squeaked before i was pulled out of the front door by a forceful tug. As Bee was the only one that could drive i clambered inside her silver beetle and we set off towards the shops.
"Hey Lucy, wouldn't it be awesome if we bumped into One Direction or even just one of them?"
Shit. I had forgotten to tell her about my little moment with Niall. She isn't goign to be happy that i haven't told her yet. Will she even believe me?
