Wherever You Are

Chapter 7

"WAKE...UP" I bolted upright in my bed when an ear piercing yell sounded from the room directly below the bedroom. Ashton stirred next to me before rolling over to face the other way. How did he not seem affected by this racket?!
"MICHAEL" I heard Elinor shout as I heard footsteptd pound down the stairs. "EVERY fucking morning"
Ashton began to sit up rubbing his eyes and I kissed his cheek.
"Morning" he whispered returning the kiss. "Guess you heard Michael this morning?"
"Who didn't" I rolled my eyed, pushing back the bed sheets. "Wow its 10:30am, I never usually sleep in so late".
"This is late for you?" Ashton laughed before getting up too. "Don't talk to Luke at this time!"
I laughed, I knee Luke was the worst in the mornings so I'd probably start to avoid him so early. Michael on the other hand was a friggin nightmare if they have to deal with that everyday.
"Im really hungry, I'm going to make some breakfast" I said, slipping on my slipper socks. Ashton leant over and grabbed my wrist before pulling me back onto the bed. I whined as his elbow dug into my back in the process.
"I'm taking you out somewhere special" he said. "You just gotta give me an hour to prepare"
"An hour?!" I laughed. "Sounds somewhere nice if it takes that long to get ready"
"I'm sure you'll like it. You can stay in bed longer if you like, I'll need the kitchen".
"Na, I can't go back now. I'll go see if Kayleighs up, obviously I know Elinor is after her run in with Michael" I laughed.
"Again, every fucking morning" he chuckled in his cute little laugh. I smiled.

"So how come we've all come out to Sydney?" I asked, biting into my apple as I sat in the games room on the pool table with Kayleigh and Elinor.
"The guys always like to come here especially when they've had time away from home. We are out here for two weeks before we fly back to the UK and the guys start touring with 1D again" Elinor said.
"Oh wow, its non stop really" I laughed.
"This is supposed to be the 2 week rest period" Kayleigh said.
"Hardly rest as far as you and Michael are concerned, especially in the bedroom department" elinor burst into a fit of laughter.
"Shut up" Kayleigh shrugged it off as if it was no big deal but she smirked underneath her hidden scowl.
"Ashton said he's taking me out today, said he needed an hour to prepare" I said.
"Oooooh, certainly knows how to treat a lady doesn't he" Kayleigh nudged me. I blushed.
"He's such a gentleman" I admitted. "I always feel so smitten around him"
"He just wins you over with his charm" elinor said. "like Calum did with me".

Ashton called about 15 minutes later telling me he was ready if I was. I nodded excitedly, pulling a jacket from my wardrobe upstairs before running back down to join him. He had loaded something into the car but I couldn't see what, making me more inquisitive.
We drove along the beautiful streets of Sydney, admiring the gorgeous rivers and scenery, and the cute little corner shops and bars along the High streets. Ashton drove for about half an hour before we arrived near a large meadow. There was a small car park for about 10 cars. We were the only ones there.
He held the door open as I stepped out and we walked along a small path before he opened a new wooden gate into a gorgeous meadow. Considering the time of year, (March) it was a warm day and the flowers looked gorgeously planted. Ashton was carrying a wooden woven trunk, no guess what we were doing.
He stopped on the edge of the meadow, flattening out a lilac colored rug on the floor, inviting me to sit. He put the trunk in the middle of the rug and beckoned me to open it.
"I hope you like it" he said.
I undid the latch and peered inside. There were little China plates and flasks of coffee and hot chocolate, with little croissants and scones. There were cute cut sandwiches with different flavors of crisps and little brownie and cookie bites, with a small bowl of fruit salad. I stared in awe and looked at him
"Ashton this is so sweet, did you do all of this?!"
"Luke helped me" he laughed. "I wanted to do something special to show how much I love you"
"Aw babe I love it so much" I pulled his cheeks in towards my face and kissed him.

It had been a day I'd never forget, Ashton treated me like I'd never dreamed any boy would. The picnic tasted better than it looked and afterwards we went for a walk to the little duck pond and fed some ducks before sitting on the swings in this kiddie play area that was empty. We were such big kids but it was amazing, I hadn't laughed so much in ages especially when Ashton's bum got stuck in the slide gap!
He'd packed everything away into the car and as soon as we climbed in all I wanted was to sleep. I must have slept for a few minutes because I awoke to the sound of Ashton's phone ringing. It was connected to the speaker in his car so he answered.
"Michael?" He asked.
"Hey dude, howd the date go?" He asked.
"Michael" he hissed and I giggled.
"Anyway dude, I just wanted to talk to you about something when we got back, is that okay?" He asked. He sounded like he had concern in his voice, but then again I could never tell what michael was really feeling. He kept himself to himself a lot of the time, especially emotions.
"Um sure buddy course, we'll be back in like 15 minutes" he said.
"Cheers man, I'll see ya" he said before ending the call. Ashton looked at me and shrugged before looking back at the road.

Michael couldn't wait to talk to Ashton when we got back, so much that I had to pack away the picnic stuff before I saw Kayleigh on the sofa in the lounge.
"Hey, do you happen to know what's up with Michael?" I asked.
"Mikey? No he's fine why?" She asked.
"I don't know, he called Ashton when we were coming home from our day out asking to talk about something and he seemed a little concerned". I looked at Kayleigh.
"Don't know, I'll talk to him later" she said.
"Okay, no worries" I smiled before resuming to washing up. Im sure it was nothing.
